The incredible, edible egg * 1
    #14115060 - 03/13/11 04:54 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

I eat a lot of 'em. My neighbor up the street has a large coop in her backyard that houses around 40 laying hens. It's become a ritual of mine to eat a hard boiled egg at some point during every trip. anyone else get their eggs from a local source (not the grocery store)?

the color variety in the eggs i picked up today is beautiful. take a look:

The real myth is the myth of sanity, of rationality: it's a disease that is eating away at the earth. All the poisons flow from our denial. We deny madness, we forget our crimes, we dismember the corpse, we imprison our children. We need poison to poison the poison, to remember the sacred nature of intoxication, the green body of the young god." ~ Dale Pendell

Nice, I always just buy em in the store. But as soon as we find and buy a house, a chicken coop is in order.

My eggs come out of my backyard, fresh everyday.

Happy hens that eat green grass and bugs & worms lay better tasting more nutritious eggs.

The yolks literally glow..

I used to live with my folks on a small farm where we had chickens, every day we'd have eggs that looked delicious like that. Had ducks and geese at one point, too, I'd love me some duck eggs right about now.
