I would be all over this forum. It is a wealth of information. Luckily, I'm not. And nowhere near that kind of person. But if I was a cop or someone in the legal profession of busting people so that I could keep my job and get more money for my department... I would have this particular forum bookmarked.
I'm just sayin'

I would take notes from this site for a year or so, collecting the bits of personal info that people fling out here and there, creating a priority list of those who mention they're growers/distributors of significant quantity. Finally I'd use all the incriminating information I'd collected to support getting a subpoena for the Shroomery servers in order to obtain the IP address and geographical location of the posters in question, and so on and so forth.

My brother is a cop...yeah I'm the black sheep GL finding a cop that gets paid enough to give half a shit about trying to do all that. I think when on the clock they have more immediate things to spend time on and when off the clock they would rather be fucking some woman whos a sucker for a man in uniform.
Even if said info was collected then what are the odds it's in jurisdiction. Would need to get the Feds involved and a Federal indictment or some shit. Obtained... based on things posted on a website that could all be lies in the first place. Some kid just wanting to be cool and fit in. Maybe you contact and somehow convince the local authorities to look into it. Highly doubtful, even the IP you subpeona could be god knows where. Showing up as a location in some bumfuck country. When in reality that isn't where it is.

Bingo. Jurisdiction. The feds wouldn't care because they're too busy "not catching" "Terrorists".
The probability of them finding anything worth finding is so low and the resources wasted would be so great (you know how much it costs to pay a team of individuals? Like 500K+, and that's just payroll) that it simply couldn't be justified.

Weird topic. Police remind me of Nuclear Power Plants (ironic with the Japanese events today). We need police for basic functions, just as we need nuclear power in the world right now, otherwise we wouldn't have enough power for the world. We don't need police disrupting our personal lives, just like we don't really need more radioactive fallout globally.
But do we? That is the question.
You could argue as a society we need some level of police interrupting personal lives as even if drug use was legal and more responsible, junkies still exist. Sometimes they like to steal a little too much too! What about the police that protect us against total anarchy? I mean if they didn't exist I could walk around with an AK47 and just murder everyone; sorry I'm slightly crazy, I'd do it in a heart beat if I could. Why? Just to see the look on their faces. To see them cry. The only reason I have not killed someone and never will is because it is illegal; not because it is strictly immoral.
What about nuclear radiation? We use it to kill cancer. Possibly a little radiation promotes new organisms to the environment, makes some humans smarter, have genetic anomalies that are positive, etc. Fact is we only know that X immediate exposure to radiation is harmful. We have no way to quantify what happens 50-100+ years later as that radioactive fallout stays in the atmosphere about that long and slowly is absorbed back into the world.
Weird shit huh?

I was pretty drunk when I made the RP, and yeah it's not so much that I thought that "Wow, now the cops can bust every drug user in the whorld!"
I am relegated to using only the good drugs. You know; alcohol and nicotine mostly, weed when I can find it good enough to even want to smoke which isn't often around here. I can't say anything good about nicotine but the alcohol is a muther!
It tells me to make stupid observations and I occasionally follow. Thus the OP. The night that I made the post, something or several things had just struck me as
I guess the thing is that we all have different realities and perceptions and the RP was just another in a string of silly posts.

Yeah. When you see "P. Cubensis, Dried! Discounts on Ib.+" on the sponsor banner then getting overly paranoid would likely be wise.
