Is one of the best films ever made. IMO.
Check it out if you have not seen it.

Great movie.
Did you see the remake with Nicole Kidman? Terrible.

I havent seen the jeff goldblum remakes of either body snatchers or the fly because I'm always skeptical of remakes, but i've heard good things about that version of the fly and if you dig this that much then I guess i'll give it a shot.

Interesting factoid about it: Only Philip Kaufman, W.D. Richter, and Donald Sutherland knew how the film was going to end. Veronica Cartwright was not told that Sutherland's character had been captured and became an alien. When they filmed the ending in front of San Francisco City Hall and Sutherland pointed to her, imitating the pod scream, Cartwright's reaction of cold fear is authentic.
I liked Goldblum's version of the Fly in it's own special ways. I just looked on IMDB and Phillip Kaufman is writing Indiana Jones 5 Hopefully it wont be a pile of shit

Nice facts. Watching it now so the end should be nice and refreshing.
But Kaufman should be pretty old by now. Maybe Indiana will be so twisted and weird outta his senile mind it will be one of the greatest cult films ever

Isn't it loosely based on The Puppet Masters by Heinlein? In which case, the book is (even) better.

I agree about the 1978 remake. I thought it worked very well. I remember seeing it way back when, and remember it being genuinely creepy at that time. Plus it has Spock and Donald Sutherland in it -- what's not to like.
