No shrooms or pins here either, bit dissapointing, I still dont understand how the season works, I mean I would have thought if the temperatures were right and all the other conditions were met that shrooms would grow.. especially because we are still in the middle of Winter.

Anyway, guess I will be rationing my remaining trips out and treating it like a scarce resource, imagine global warming is causing the shorter seasons, would be my main reason to actually care about climate change! lol:tongue2:

Not Subs if they don't bruise blue.

FINALLY had a bit of rain in the Riverina. I'll give it a day or two then have a nice big hunt in a last ditch effort for 2011.

I just spent a good hour wandering through hundreds of eucalyptus trees and rotted logs etc. and didn't find a single piece of fungi. :frown:

Found a little patch in Canberra down near Charnwood side, hope that's not too specific,

But it was just in a mulched garden bed, and they dried out to be 14 grams all up,

I think it was from that 2 days of rain we had last week

Yeah subs, i can only get pics of the dry shrooms, but the patch is dry now too, but I can get a pic of the dry patch if u want, I was surprised to find them, and lucky to see them they were real small but not pins.

Like I said I think it's just because of the rain last Wednesday  and Thursday.

Felt a bit dodgy picking them though because they were in someones front garden on the corner of their street, not near their house though, I only took a handfull left alot more than I took incase they made that patch or something.
