Was in Sydney today so called in to the main patch on the way home - I was hopeful given that fact we have had some rain in the past few days.
Did not see one Sub - not even a pin.
It is forecast to rain all this week, fingers crossed the season is not over
Very much the same story here hey. Went out yesterday, found literally 7 mushrooms. Absolutely no pins around just those few mature ones.
It has been pissing down all day today though so maybe things will look up later in the week. The lack of pins is a bit worrying though. Like you say after the couple of days of rain we had over the weekend youd expect to see at least a few
Anyway, fingers crossed for the week to come

Couldve sworn i posted here a couple of days ago but it seems to have disappeared into oblivion. But when i click threads it says latest post by me and my post shows up. This is really weird. What the fuck, now its there.
Anyway this rain should really get things going again. Its nearly flash flooding here Ill head out over the weekend and see how things are going.

Already using chrome Everything seems to be working now though which is strange. It will forever remain a mystery.
Went to have a look at one patch today. No pins, 2 mature subs. Ill check back after the rain stops but i think the season is pretty much over for my patches at least. Still finding stragglers here and there but no major flushes since the end of June.
I could be wrong though. The next week will be the decider.

I have found subs once before. but for some reason, even with all this rain i couldnt find any. lots of non-subs haha. any idea on what i should do, where to look (not specifics) like how common are they around the other mushrooms

Most patches would be flushed out IMO. I'll probably still go for a look in the next week though.

I reckon the canberra season has been more or less done for a while now.

yeah I think Wagga is the same deal too (if it ever even had any!) which is no good at all, we get all the ridiculous cold but no rain and therefore no subs. eh.

thinking on heading to either the blue mountains around katoomba or something like that or to the national parks south west of sydney over the weekend for my first ever real hunt. You guys think there's still something around?...as you all know its been pouring lately and quite cold but not much sun..does this influence the growth of the mushroom?...will put some pictures of anything i find for ID's..cheers.
