With respect to those held prisoner I request that this post be made sticky to remind all that this war is not without human tragedy on both sides.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this.

Compassion my ass. On one hand he chooses not to support these troops, on the other he's suddenly compassionate if they are captured or missing. I would believe it's true compassion if he gave a shit about them in the first place. Just trying to have it both ways, IMO.

By the way, I do support the POW/MIA cause, have for many many years. Sorry to trash a thread in their remebrance, but I call bullshit when I see it.

This is the worst thread hijack I've seen in a while.

I don't support the troops or their mission. I do hold out hope that hostilities will cease, the US withdraw and the prisoners freed. I hate to see death anywhere, especially a sensless war like this one. At least we can hope for the well being of civilians and prisoners. I do have some compassion in my heart.

Any invader captured deserves whatever treatment his captors devise...
It doesn't matter how the US treats thier prisioners, its WAR!
I just dont feel anythiing for the dying soldiers over there, and im sorry to have such a different opinion, but i truly see this war as an unsanctioned invasion.
Still any loss of life is a shame, and i send my condolenses to families.

***edited by Rono*** Not supporting this bullshit war does not necessitate that you don't support the troops. Can you understand that reality or do you want me to explain it in great depth?

just because they are POW's or MIA doesn't mean we forget the troops still out there. Please keep them all in thought, as I know I do.
