Water getting into jars + other questions

Okay, so I've been doing 1/2 pint and 1 pint jars no problem for a while using PF tek. I use an 8 quart 10psi Mirro pressure cooker.
Lately, however, I've been getting ALL water in my jars, fucking up the dry vermiculite layer (virtually guaranteeing contam) or just completely fucking the whole jar up with excess water. This has been happening mainly to the 1/2 pint jars. Not as much to the 1 pint jars but still happens sometimes to those as well.
I've been wrapping up all my jars HEAD TO TOE in aluminum foil, using multiple layers, usually at least 3 layers, and putting rubberbands on them. BUT WATER STILL GETS IN THROUGH ALL THE FOIL!!! It's killing me. And it's causing me to waste substrate/jars/spores/time by having to throw them all away. I don't PC longer than an hour.
So how do I go about fixing this problem? Would putting less water in the PC (like less than an inch) help? Maybe using less heat when getting the PC to full pressure so the water doesn't boil as much?
Also, I have some questions concerning my basic BRF technique...
I've been following the recipe from the Erowid Magic Mushroom Grower's guide, which is this: 2/3 cup verm, 1/4 cup brf and 1/4 cup water per 1/2 pint cake, doubled for 1 pint cakes. Is this standard for most grows? Or is there a better ratio of ingredients that would result in better fruits? I also always throw in a small amount of gypsum per cake.
Also like in the Erowid grower's guide, I hammer 4 inoculation holes in the lid of each jar. Is there a better way of going about this?
Thanks guys, any help/advice is appreciated.

Water isn't getting through the foil.
Are you cooling teh device improperly/too rapidly?

No, I always just take it off the stove and then let it reduce pressure on its own. Whenever I cover the jar with a layer of foil there's always a bunch of creases on top where I smashed down the excess foil, I think the water has to be getting in through that.

This has to be simple to fix.
Either your putting too much water in your pc. Your lids blow. ( how big are the holes? maybe use tyvek or polyfil to help battle with the watter.?) Your adding too much water to the jars when you prep them.

You don't snug it down nice and smooth?
Type of lid doesn't matter. I'm starting to think this whole thing is stoner ravings.
