Geten ready to make some BRF cakes and thought I'd try 75% WBSF/ 25% BRF. Any body try this B4.. I have 1CC in 1 syringe & 10CC in an other, so thought I would fill up the PC. I have enough BRF, but thought this might work as well. WBS is cheaper. Also will be trying pint jars with this batch. Any thoughts

It will work, but I'd steer clear of those pint jars if I were you.

Yea I know, everyone says to stay away, but I keep looking at one pint jar thinking it would be an awesome cake. Gota give it a try. Will be using PF Tek but with maybe a little more water, just a bit more. & give an extra shot to help speed up the colonization.

your call, but shooting xtra solution in likely won't help. it will still take 1-2 months to colonize, if it does colonize completely. the longer colonization times bring greater risk of contams, and they're prone to stalling. for pint jars, use an lc. for spores, use proper jars.

No point in pint jars. They will not make an awesome cakes, they will most likely stall, contam, or just take an assload of time to colonize. Not awesome in my book. WBS flour is perfectly fin, but use half pints with flour based spawn.

Well I did it. 2 one pint jars, a 1/2 pint, & (1) 1/4 pint. Bout ready to go into PC. Also have a qrt of Rye going into PC. PF Tek has an extra 1/4 pint, so I always put that into a 1/4 pint jar. Might as well used it, but I have to take it out & cool it down once it colonizes, to allow the others to catch up. Hell even if it takes 2 months for the pints to colonize it would be worth it to see a 3X4 cake in the FC. Thought about putting air into them if they stall, I'll deal with it when the time comes. Hevn't tried the WBSF until today, thats why I posted. Things are going great with BRF, but WBS is cheaper and after I spent all my money getting set up, I'm gonna try & save where I can.
