Anyone like cowboy boots?

I'm not into the cowboy lifestyle or anything, but I like cowboy boots to go along with my vintage rock and roll style, I wear odd and unique dress shoes too. (I'm a musician, I play pre-punk style rock and roll, like Velvet underground type shit) I don't tuck the pant legs into the boots, so only the lower part shows.
I ran into a guy recently who thought I was a hipster because of my shoes...
Hipsters wear cowboy boots now?
Anyway, I'm curious if anyone else around here wears shoes like that?
I've been looking at these bad boys, thinking about getting 'em... I like the old vintage western boots.

Colleague of mine used to wear them. Made me think of getting a pair myself; I'm still considering it. However, the guy is in the hospital now with a burst aneurysm. So that puts me off a bit, this possible relationship between aneurysms and cowboy boots.

I think they make you look like a tool unless you are a cowboy,no offense.
But I realize different styles appeal to everybody.

Those boots they wore back in the 50s and 60s are different from dress wellingtons (what you have pictured.) They don't make those types of boots anymore. Those 50s/60s boots look like dress wellingtons on the bottom but they're zippered and they zip tight around the ankles. They also don't have cowboy designs; they're more chic.

Pretty much this.
Do you at least sport the cowboy hat with them?

He's talking about the style like Jim Morrison wore. The boots worn back then aren't made anymore but dress wellington boots kind of resemble them on the lower half.

hipsters are consuming everything.
I wear boots, and a hat. sometimes ill throw a vintage kiss belt buckle into the mix. I am the only person in orange county who dresses like this
fuckit though. its not so much a style thing, rather it just feels natural. Ive always loved the desert more than any other terrain, so i dunno, the clothes are just apt for my personality.

If they consume everything, wouldn't they technically not exist?
Which would rule.

If they sold them around here, I'd wear them. I like boots.
That specific pair, however, has too ornate of stitching for my taste. When you wear them with jeans, it's hard to tell cownoy boots apart from normal boots anyway.
Unless you live in Texas, it's somewhat of a faux paus to wear boots with a suit though. I wouldn't do that.

You can tell cowboy boots from regular boots by the heel, which is designed to hook a stirrup, and the toe, which is pointy to allow ease of entry into a stirrup. They aint made for walking.

So would The Rack. And walking a lot in real cowboy boots has quite a lot of similarity to medieval torture devices.

Screw that. According to this guy, there are "fashion" cowby boots.
This guy clearly looks like a cowboy boot expert. Dare you disagree with him?

The most hipster thing you can do is get upset when hipsters start wearing things you wear.
It's a vicious truth.
