2am find
    #14102775 - 03/11/11 07:52 AM (12 years, 10 months ago)

i found this growing from redwood duff at 2am this morning it looks and smells very much like an Agaricus of some sort.
it has an off golden tinge to it and the gills are a light shade of grey, the stem is thick and not at all hollow if fact quite dense. if i didnt make it clear it smells very sweet!

i know this should be an easy id so thank you very much to whoever is first to enlighten me! ^_^

The gills are attached so they def. are not Agaricus. If they were more mature we could probably give you an exact id.Im thinking maybe Agrocybe praecox or Agrocybe acericola.
