Best Mushroom Showcase Dish

Let's say you're out on a hike, and find a beautiful bloom of S. rugosoannulata, or G. Frondosa, or L. sulphureus, or whatever. You want to cook them up and show them off to your friends, but what to make?
I can't seem to find a great dish where mushrooms are the star. The best I've come up with are:
1. Cream of Mushroom Soup: Not a main course, and the cream is oppressively caloric. 2. Stuffed Mushrooms: They take a back seat to what they're stuffed with (like pork). 3. Chicken Marsala: The mushrooms seem to take back seat to the chicken. 4. Sautéed Mushrooms: To the point, and tasty, but unimaginative. 5. Meatloaf with Mushroom Sauce: Meatloaf takes center stage; mushrooms are the supporting actor 6. Mushroom sauce over pasta: not bad; perhaps the best choice available.
Any other ideas?

A couple of years ago or so, I had about 50 pounds of hens, and I was cleaning them as I could get to them and giving some away. Anyway, some of them were getting older, they will mature even after you pick them, they lose some flavor and the pores keep growing. I gave about 15 pounds to a buddy and his wife. So we were cleaning them and cooking them, and the older ones we were par boiling to freeze. They are not very flavorful, the older ones, when they are blanched, but they have a nice texture. To blanch them we were striping the leaf like shelves back towards the base and then blanching. What you get when done is the right shape and texture for wrapping around other foods, the night they we were cleaning them we had some olives, cheese, arrugala, and some other finger foods, and we wrapped the blanched leaves around them, the old hens are great prepared and eaten this way.

absolutely.
Chicken Marsala done correctly...the chicken is just a vehicle for the sauce.
Mushroom Pizza, Omlette....there are plenty of cicumstances where mushrooms arent the supporting role. Its a matter of design and perspective.
