Wikipedia says it's possible. But you're wasting a lot of THC that's still in the weed. It's only going to suck cannabinoids out of the resin.

If it doesn't get you high, it doesn't work then.
My tolerance is huge right now so... if the THC isn't being used all the way up, it isn't a very good method

THC isnt water soluble so disolving it in a lipid is much more effective then boiling the resin off the nweed into the water

You can infuse maple syrup with cannabis. The way I do it is make a glycerin base tincture. (How to do it can be found online. It is VERY simple to make.) Then add it to the syrup. Seeing as maple syrup IS expensive, you don't have to worry about the loss of syrup that stays in the cannabis even after straining it. I have clients who love the stuff.

Yeah, you would have to extract the oil seperately and then add it to the syrup. If you boil weed in water I'm sure some of the cannabinoids will either melt or break off and float to the top, but that's a really inefficient way to extract them and due to the small amount of cannabinoids to everything else (water, plant, and pot) you're going to have a lot of mechanical losses. Even when I add butter into that I only recover a little more than half the butter due to mechanical losses.

Just add decarbed feco(full extract cannabis oil) to your syrup and mix it up before serving.

Wow this thread is old. Putting weed in an espresso machine and running it does work though IME.

I am interested in trying this now. I wonder if edibles would feel different without fat involved.

It probably isn't especially efficient, but it did get me high.

Yeah I wouldn't expect it to be too efficient, still seems worth trying though.
Mexican natives drink salvia traditionally even though that is literally the least efficient method of ingestion, so it has the slowest come up and lasts the longest.
They quid too but they also drink the juices and even make brews.
