A thought on why ETs would ever come here in the first place. 1

As a super intelligent most likely insanely spiritual race. I would think that any planet able to sustain a wealth of life would be considered extremely important dont you think?? Are they visiting or have they ever visited?? Still no concrete proof.

They're here. The proof is pretty overwhelming. higher intelligences understand the importance of not interfering.

I thought you were supposed to be in the army or some shit??
Anyways any super intelligent race advanced enough and spiritual enough would not think like us HUMANS. You are thinking within the current state of what the people in control would do.

Na I was gonna take a break because I thought it was getting warm, then we got hit with a cold front so I said fuck it.
as for "You are thinking within the current state of what the people in control would do."
No I just think they'd probably not care for the life here, why should they? Harness the power and keep moving I'd think.

we're the only species dumb enough to believe progress is achieved by mass murder. I doubt anything that has mastered interstellar flight came here to fight.

But you see that type of thinking would only drive a civilization into the dirt. Thats kind of where we are headed if we do not change our thought process soon here.

You don't think it's possible some life form doesn't give a crap about life on some random planet? Interesting.

I just think that the spiritual and technological growth growth necessary to master space/dimension travel would foster a love of all life.
But hey, I haven't talked to ET.

if you are going to travel thousands of light years for sustenance/materials , Earth would at Most be an afterthought; you'd be too busy gobbling up mass-energy from our star. Maybe Jupiter could also provide a justifiable quantity of resources for a mining operation... maybe. Earth, on the other hand, would seem an inconsequential polluted poisonous mote of dust - with aggressive bad-tempered inhabitants to boot (though Mostly Harmless)

i don't know, i understand their reluctance to land but i think if i was part of a higher intelligence i may look into ways to introduce myself. i mean, they can at least enlighten some of us at some point, though some would claim they do just that.
i don't blame them for not wanting to be involved with us government, cause they'd probably get shot down immediately. even so, they're technology is way more advanced then our so i don't think the government could do anything useful against them.
if et wanted they could own planet earth in a second

Aside from calling the press and landing somewhere and being shot at they can't make it much more obvious that they are here.
What would it take to convince people they were real? Aside from a body being passed around the public scientific community and some official announcement on TV I don't think anything much else they can and have done will convince the masses.
I mean thats one hell of a standard. We have people in every culture experiencing similar craft and beings, radar evidence, trace evidence and the most immense wealth of reports for any paranormal subject ever known - but we need an alien body in the public domain to be passed around for it to be accepted.

I'm rather persuaded that Alien Abduction stories are a result of endogenous DMT release - the similarities are quite stark - or of course fabrications or bad dreams. I'd like to think aliens were among us, but have yet to see any credible persuasive evidence in favor of the hypothesis. On the other hand, the striking similarities between alien encounter stories and some DMT experiences may be circumstantial, but I find it compelling.

Maybe some of the modern band wagon flimsy stories could be that or sleep paralysis but the best accounts out there have happened while the person is awake and up and about. In cases such as Travis Walton and Barney and Betty Hill there were multiple witnesses and they were in cars driving around when it happened. Then theres the fact of how people in Africa - in communities with no TV have reported the exact same type of flying saucer and little gray dudes with big eyes getting out.
If you study the the subject in depth IMO theres not many conclusions you can really come to other than its as real as anything else in this world.

Somebody's been watching too many movies.
Yeah, intelligent alien beings capable of intergalactic travel would come to this planet and engage in such a primitive act like war when they could just use their technology to mine other planets and not kill fellow sentient beings as themselves.
Makes a lot of sense.

I think that space travel is just as difficult for aliens (if they exist) as it is for humans. They all have to abide by the same rules of the universe, and traveling great distances is extremely taxing. Unless they had developed some super technology that allowed them to bend space or something.
We are constantly sending radio waves and other signals into the depths of space, but we have never received anything of the like in return. Although, there are roughly 8 planets in the universe that likely have an earth-like atmosphere.
If aliens ever did come here, it would either be to rape our planet of it's resources, and kill us all, or they would be so advanced that our resources would be useless to them; in that case, maybe they would share their technologies with us and promote our well-being. Then...it's Star Trek time.
