They wouldnt think anything like a human and they wouldnt be resource hungry cause for one I highly doubt they would be able to maintain or even reach that level of civilization if they still had those animilistic/destructive tendencies, and why would they want to destroy all life on a planet when there are many, many more planets out there with no life and a extreme abundance of resources?

So what is everyone experiencing then? You think it can explained by group hallucination and archetypes but I'd have to respectfully disagree. I think its very probable we are being visited, not only because of age of universe vs age of earth and likelyness of universal life but because of the amount and quality of similar testimony that we are presented with.
Unfortunately you have to get into probabilities with this subject because theres not gonna be much that can prove it until we get an alien body or advance in technology enough to visit an alien planet. Nothing an alien is likely to do is going to provide absolute proof for our scientific community.
The closest thing we have so far is this the bob white object...
Quote:
I think it is very possible our human ancestors evolved into highly intelligent beings and went off to live seperate lives from the rest of us. Where exactly? Who knows.
Same here, I think we have def had other cultures that were way more advanced than we give them credit for. Just seeing the pyramids that are found all over the planet and underwater proved that to me. I think there may even be evidence of other earth based space faring cultures on the moon or mars but we should hopefully find out that soon.

theres probably trillions of planets where races from them figured out space travel before figuring out compassion
and there are probably trillions more who needed to go through the process of working together in order to figure it out, thus becoming benevolent space faring species
there are probably even some planets w/ species who figured out space travel without even learning how to talk first
there's probably a planet out there some where with just one guy on it... and he's immortal and he figured out a way to travel through space all on his own with just the raw materials around him

We have to stop thinking that "aliens"/ advanced beings/ advanced versions of ourselves are experiencing and percieving life the same way we do.
We are so limited, while they might be off the charts.

Aliens are cultivating us for our novelty-producing capacities. The natural resource of novelty we provide is far more valuable to them than a bunch of rocks. Plenty of planets have those.

Here's some good resources for understanding the size of the universe a little better...
http://primaxstudio.com/stuff/scale_of_universe/
and then this, a free program that is pretty incredible. It will let you explore any star or planet in the known universe in any time frame you choose, and it also has some good user created content, like the star wars universe, etc.
http://www.shatters.net/celestia/
I personally think that the probability of complex multi cellular life on other planets is almost certain, but the chance that they have developed along the same pathways as us is extremely slim. Scientists have sent encoded transmissions to the nearest Earth-like planet, Gliese 581g, which is 30 or so lightyears away. Assuming that there is life on the planet, and assuming that they have developed sufficient technology to both intercept and decode the transmissions, we could be getting a response in the next 40 or 50 years at the least. The chance of that happening is probably extremely low, sadly.

Your links reminded me of this wonderful film by Charles & Ray Eames called "Powers of Ten" that I watched as a teenager - and countless times since - which continues to blow my mind! It would make me very happy to see an updated version of Powers of Ten, that would incorporate some of what we understand about the very very small and the very very large that we did not yet know when it was filmed. Check it out: Powers of Ten

That is precisely the case.
Our planet is isolated and used to cultivate things... which u called novelty

Maybe they would just drop in to use the phone.
If we are just getting to the point where we can really "look" into our cosmological neighbors why do we assume they would be either 'advanced' or 'deficient' in such capacity as opposed to ourselves. Maybe they're just now sending crafts out of their respective systems with musical annotations and alien porn on the sides that we haven't got a good shot of yet.
