I think I want to be one. I want to live a life of adventure.
This spring break I might just roam around my city for 5 days sleeping wherever i can and not return to my apartment for 5 days...living like a hobo.
should i do it?

If you want adventure you might want to at least leave your home city lol.

I have thought about this many times, although I wouldn't want to do it in an urban kind of setting I would want it in woods and mountains.

If you want to try it though, for something new, it's a good idea to start where you know. Sleep close to home, so if you decide it's not your thing, you havn't already ventured 100 miles away.
I would never do it. I need security, and a four walls and a roof. But hey, I'm a trained puppet of society.

Definitely, though much more challenging
I've only managed a couple days in the wilderness alone and unprepared. I'd need to learn much more before attempting something like that.

You guys won't be getting into any crazy adventures being all cautious like that, put yourself on the line and live a little.

While I agree in part with you guys about RP diving right in, it could be a bad, tragic mistake. MANY people have wanted this adventure, dove right in, and wound up dead. ( starvation, elements, territory etc etc )
If we want to truly live, we need to have reason still, and experience helps.
I want to sky dive, but I'm not going to do it alone my first go, and wing it. I'm going to learn when/what I need to do. Then when I get the experience I can jump alone, and enjoy every ounce of it.
Maybe I'm being to logical, but something so extreme shouldn't be taken lightly.

That's called living in fear. I don't mind staring into the thin film between life and death and maybe even poking at it a little.

wanna come with me? I was thinking of starting in Gabon, though, and trekking south down to cape town, before heading north, and then continuing on to jerusalem.
my own personal pipe dream of vagabonding.

i'm not so sure it's living in fear. sounds like you have a death wish.
nothing wrong with being prepared. hell...that's half the fun for me.
