Well, the store down the road just got in a ton of succulents.  I want to buy them all, but since that's not an option I figured I'd go for the pedros.  They have about 10 of 'em....

They are labeled Pedros, and they look the part.  But I'm worried about one of them that has 8 ribs.

I took lotsa picks, cuz phone cameras suck.  The colors don't really show through, but there's something that looks like green mold in the soil of some of them(lame!), and a couple of them have very light green and mottled skin that doesn't look super healthy.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

They all look like Trichocereus pachanoi 'PC'--even the 8 ribbed one.

They grow pretty fast especially in your climate. Unless you have immediate plans, it seems unwise to buy them all seeing as you could easily see 2 ft of growth this year. If you buy them all, then in a year or two you'll be swimming in them. Using the money to obtain a more diverse set of genetics seems like a wise idea.

I want to be swimming in them!  :inlove:  hehe

I guess I'll just get a couple of the healthiest looking, maybe 4 or 5 of 'em.

Thanks!  Much appreciated.

I've had up to 9 ribs, definitely Pachanoi

I felt a bit queer pointing it out but I'm one of those people that will tell you if you have a booger hanging out of your nose. I also thought it was funny.
