I live in northish GA, if you can't find cow fields look for stables, even where i live which is fairly densely populated there are fields frequented by horses.
I went hunting in the woods friday after all that rain, found some medium brown mushrooms with concave up caps and fibrous hollow stems, a couple of the shelf types that you see dried up all over dead wood, and some very small LBM inside a hollow rotten log. Nothing active though. once it warms for a little longer hopefully i'll have some luck

Morels should be growing soon. Id say in the next few weeks unless we get a cold snap again.

Didn't get any good ones of the mushrooms, took some of plants i wanted to ID, then my camera's battery died. the "shelf" mushrooms(these are from last year and are dry)
some plants i thought were interesting

I am going to upload pics tomorrow afternoon, haven't had a chance to upload them lately. Good news is my friend may have found a cube patch near his house. He spotted them after I left his home while he was riding his ATV around the country. I will be going over to his house Friday/Saturday depending on what I have planed, but none the less he will be sending me a pic and I will be uping here for help identifying.
