Educate, I'm not going to pay a grand to order Ibogaine online or 3 to 5 to go to a clinic. But busting this guy on the same level of drug scheduled as crack is complete and utter bullshit.
Ibogaine is a lot cheaper than a grand online. Pasted below is a listing from one website that I found. I have a friend who I am hoping will one day make the decision to get off of heroin. He told me that the last time he got clean was when he was locked up and he was sick for over a month. There are documented cases where ibogaine stoped withdrawl sickness over night. That stuff is a miracle plant!

It's things like this that harden my position towards my government. My tolerance grows less and less and this shit doesn't help. When is enough enough? Once TPTB come knocking down YOUR door and crucifying your ass in front of the masses to set an example? Bastards. Thank you for your post though overstand. Reading that last bit gave me the brilliant idea of growing my own little ibogaine plant HE SHALL BE NAMED NATHAN

What about coca leaves? Should we just grow them in all in our backyards as well? I'd chew on one, does that make me less to you. Are you saying everything should be regulated? What about poppies? Should everyone grow them in there backyard? Mushrooms? Because you can get a pot card in your state and smoke week legally? What is your point exactly?
MY point is that all drugs should be decriminalized. No one should be in jail or on probation or being investigated by the motherfucking DEA for non-violent drug crimes. A big reason why I wish drugs to be decriminalized is so that scientific studies may be resumed. Clearly MANY of these plants have healing and medicinal potential that is being repressed. Why?
New prescription drugs with potentially harmful side effects are introduced by big pharma and approved by the FDA every single day. We as a society gobble those up like they are goddamned skittles. Why?

Because it's legal. Pharm lobbyists, ads on every newscasts, but I still enjoy mixing klonopin with alcohol. But I DEFINITELY agree on your point that no one should have to go through the legal system for non-violent drug offences.

Recent experiences with Charlie Sheen have proven to me that the drug war is nothing but an easy excuse to put black and poor people in prison.

It's just so easy, when you've been raised with such ideas from birth, to take all the bullshit about public welfare seriously.
It's a really powerful viral paradigm, the idea that there actually is some interest in public welfare inherent to the drug war.
I should know better, but it turns out quite often that I don't.
Cynicism takes time and effort to develop.

if this guy was arrested and sent to court over this matter all he would really need is all the people he treated to testify that he saved their lives (or at least the ones that the treatment worked on... are there any stats on what percentage of ibogaine ceremonies cure addiction?)
if that still didn't work then I guess we're all fucked
