    #14093032 - 03/09/11 03:07 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

I feel its my duty to informed the uninformed that smoking lots of :happyweed: while :xtc::raver2: spares your :malebrain: from all the :braindamage:

Here is a link but I know teh shr00merites dont like clicking clickable links.

So here is an slice of a brain on MDMA and MDMA and THC. The darkish bits are the goodie proteins that you need in order to avoid becoming a :tard:

I always suspected this. I smoke plenty of bud whenever I roll and to this date I've never once had a harsh comedown or day after.

i have yet to try MDMA but i do have some pure molly sitting in my medicine stock, probably waiting for ULTRA to take it, but this is good news.

ive always been avoidant of it because most people who take rolls/mdma seem slightly dimmer than people who dont.

from my POV

Nice post, but MDMA isn't necessarily neurotoxic. The article says that mice are given "a neurotoxic regimen of MDMA (20 mg/kg ×4)." 20mg/kg is a massive dose in humans. A 160 lb (72 kg) person would be taking a dose of over 1400mg of MDMA... Times four according to the article. A good single dose would be 10% of that.

The negative effects are exacerbated by high body and/or ambient (room) temperature, which the study also acknowledges:

"Surprisingly, MDMA-induced DA terminal loss was only observed in animals housed at warm but not at room temperature."

It's great that THC helps protect the brain from potential MDMA-induced neurotoxicity, but if you use MDMA responsibly (but not eating ridiculous doses and by keeping cool and not exerting yourself while on it), I think that there is little to worry about. Spacing out use is also important, and taking vitamins and supplements help your brain too.

To me, it seems that often the risks are overstated. Education and responsible use go a long way.

Good thing I smoke a lot when I take MDMA.

I take some pretty hefty doses but I've never experienced any long-term side effects. Probably taken it around 50 times too.

Feel the same as ever

i also have a strong feeling THC does wonders to help lessen the brain cell killing effect of alcohol.

i have no scientifik pr00fz but i definitely feel like more of a retard after a night of heavy drinking without any weed than i do when i'm blazing weed throughout the night. i also get much less of a hangover when i smoke

Good info

I don't take any study where the test is on animals as 100% truth however.

I don't think 5HTP is necessarily safe to take directly with MDMA, due to seratonin syndrome.  But it is safe to take it before/after.

I would think it's far safer to take afterward. Beforehand (unless you mean like the day before) still sounds like it could be dangerous.

SSRIs also reduce MDMA-based neurotoxicity when taken before or after your MDMA pill. :themoreyouknow:

Thats the same thought i have.
I think cannabis can reduce the damage of alcohol on the brain cells.

I even know from first experience that cannabis will minimal the damage of the liver on alcohol drinking.
How?I dont know,i only experienced.
My doctor would not believe me after i let tested my liver after about 10 years of drinking daily 4 to 6 liter beer.
I only had like 2% damage on my liver.

Cannabis saved my health and it still does,
i have chronical pains in my back and after smoking cannabis the pain is away.
I tried 3 sorts of painkillers,diazepams,ibuprofren,
none of them helped.

Cannabis is the best medicine on the world giving by mother nature.
It is a real shame most goverments try or even had banned cannabis.
i think they know the power of cannabis as an medicine and due that they try to ban it to make more money in the pharma industries.
If cannabis was legal the pharma loses lots and lots of money.

It's a shame they make people criminal who smokes cannabis,
it's a shame how money is more importent the peoples healthcare.
it's a shame to make money profits over people to force them to use the chemical pharma medicine which in most time is not so powerfull as cannabis in many cases.

Cannabis would save the world problems but it looks like the gov is to scared that everything goes''fine''.
problems and sick peoples bring tax money in.

As an example,think about this:
Wjy is alcohol and tabacco legal with it 5 millions death a year worldwide? and if so,
why they are so hystericcal over cannabis?
Because its not a damaging drug but a healing drug?

I smoke weed for 21 years now,
and i will continu as long as i live.
If it comes illegal, then im only a victim of the gov who made me a criminal which i not wanna be.
But pains are worster then being a criminal, especially if you were forced to be a criminal.
I will not stop smoking cannabis what ever happens.

I don't know about you bro but im bangin 7gram rocks so this helps a lot :winning:

jk  good to see that you went through the paper and gathered some essential points. But I'm fairly certain that not all pubbers go with responsible use so its worth noting that they can reduce some of the harm in such a great way.

I remember my first and only night of trying ecstasy.

I was a wee bit drunk at this rather cheese club when a random girl started dancing with me and eventually asked me out for a cigarette. It happened here in UK, I told her I'm from Eastern Europe and she said I reminded her of Borat :borat: (in a good way )

Then she offered me this pill and although I had been abstaining for months I ate it. Then some other random stuff happened (memory is vague) but it involved lots of smoking throughout.

On the next day I felt pretty relaxed and glad that I went through the whole thing :yesnod:

I've seen an article before saying something along the liens of weed preventing brain damage in teen binge drinkers. I'll try to find it.

This is awesome news for raving mice that administer massive, clinically irrelevant doses of MDMA.

Haha, definetly

Other then that I toke daily already, I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't think it's recreational/beneficial. This is just another fun fact that makes sense really... THC counters (a wee bit) of MDMA negatives, hypertension and such (too many to name) .

It's not going to make that much diffirence in the end (imo)
