So yea.. Would there be any benefit to Hydrating Sterilized dry pf style grain to field capacity with Mycellium water or L.C..
This seems like it will only work with pf style ground up grain so when i say grain I am referring pf style, brf ,i was thinking ground rye berries instead of brf, for optimal performance, and vermiculite with gypsum
So my idea is this: 1. Find the exact amount of water it will take to hydrate a specific amount and type of grain for a grain jar or spawn bag
2. WITHOUT, hydrating, Sterilize your grain DRY.
3. Using a sterile technique, inoculate, or hydrate, your dry sterilized grain to your predetermined field capacity with mycelium water, eberbaching colonized petri's in water, or just L.C.
The goal of this would be to drastically reduce colonization times, Especially with big spawn bags. CRITICISM IS IMPLORED
***I realize the feasibility and economic factors of actually obtaining that much liquid Mycellium are not really realistic for most of us. So I would like to focus on the theory of this foremost

i dont understand why you think putting LC into dry grains would be any faster than putting LC into properly hydrated grains.
endospore talk aside ;p

Did not know that..hmm. what about rinsing off rye berries , not preping them, then grinding them up?? or would there still be endospores inside the berry.

too much water and you have pooling which causes bacteria. so you can only use so much mycellium liquid.
With my way, it would seem that I would be simultaneously inoculating a pint or so size jar with a 100ml of inoculate without causing any pooling and hydrating the grain with water for further colonzation. The benefit of colonizing times seems obvious or maybe im missing some fundamental understanding of the biology of this process... I Gota get a book soon
Prehaps this process would be better with a spawn bag because you could mix up the grain with your hands to hydrate evenly..I think it would be hard to do this in a grain jar without wicking the filter

how many times have you inoculated grains with LC
ive squirted an entire 10cc syringe of GLC into EACH quart jar of grains i use and i never have troubles with pooling water and or bacteria.
10ccs of water really isnt as much as you're making it seem.

because a 100cc's > 10cc's ??? 1ml=1cc correct?
and iv used lc like 5 times

IMO 7-10cc of LC is a good amount for a quart jar of Rye grain. Innoc. shake and wait 5 day's until it is fully colonized. Did it about 20 times and it never failed.

I understand that process and have done it a couple times, i may be trying to reinvent the wheel somewhat... Just gota wait till I can experiment on my own
