I would think it would be a lot more enjoyable to get detailed topographical maps and go overland avoiding roads and highways as much as possible.
Why would you want to spend all that time walking next to a busy road?

Im still working at a path but as long as I walk 4-6 hours a day I can get to town to town/rest stops. I still have to figure it out a bit more but I plan on carrying a camel pack and an extra 2 liters of water (alot I know). As for food Ill keep dried shit and trail mix on me and eat 3000 calorie meals when I make it to a town.
at an even pace Im probably going to burning ALOT more than that.

If you bring along a shitload of speed, you can make it one straight shot: 4 days, 10 hours (Google Maps).
BTW, if you take the 2 over, you can cut off at Leavenworth and take the trails along the inside of the mountain, it looks like. At the end, you have to scramble to get to the 2,but it cuts straight across! Only downside is the climbing.

I'm not sure the lay of the land between Idaho and Seattle.... but I'm fairly sure there's no shortage of trees? Unless you plan to go through a desert? Even then sometimes you can find something to hang it on (I have pitched my hennessy in a rock outcropping in the desert before). All you need is two solid things a few feet off the ground about 15-20 feet apart to string up to. I've seen people hang their hammocks between two trucks.
Hammocks can be used as a tent in a pinch... you can stake them out like so if you have a hiking pole and some paracord:

The other option in situations with no trees, is just use the tarp as a shelter and sleep on the ground, just like any lightweight tarp shelter

You won't regret it Plan to consume about 5,000 calories a day if you are hiking 20+ miles. Looks like some pretty rugged mountainy tree terrain for a good part of it on the western end, and maybe some high desert? for a good long stretch? I imagine there's bears up there too so pack accordingly.. totally unfamiliar with that area though.

Whoa weird that you say that I just remmembered I had a dream that a bear man walked pass me and then had three bears walk around m to see if I would break and show weakness. Almost went lucid for a second too.
I figured Id need 4000+ calories, and the longest stretch from leavenworth to wellington is 38 miles but its along a highway and is against a lake for most of it. So im not too worried about water for that stretch.

Just be sure to practice with weight on your back.
The way I suggested would give you a nice place to camp too. It is mostly flat until you get to the other side where you climb to get to the 2. Just bring enough food & water for 2-3 nights, and you should be able to rough it to Skykomish. (EDIT: Or Wellington, but that's back tracking slightly at that point.)
The whole trip sounds pretty fun, dude.

vast majority of it would be high deserts, until you got to the cascades, then there'd be a tree or two... million....
