Any other cooks in the pub?
    #14089781 - 03/08/11 10:51 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

I made this with this spice blend, and these earlier.

Tweaked the recipes to my liking and came out :aweoverdose:.

Anyone else dabble in the kitchen?

My dream is to open my own authentic Mexican food restaurant. Hopefully in the next 10-15 years.

You could use the beard as seasoning...

I use my beard as a seasoning inadvertently.

haha naaahhh I used paprika, cardemom, sage, oregano, basil and crushed black pepper

I'm pretty sure he'd take a hit out if I cut his beard...
last time I was super high and was joking around but really cut the beard, it ended up being glued to my face :strokebeard3:

Ugh, everyone in my class today went to McDonald's on their break which got me craving it on the way home. I haven't eaten it in forever because I was so grossed out by it the last time I ate there, but I just had to give in and give it one more chance. I'm glad to say, I'm finally done with McDonald's. They disappoint every time :puke:

Even the fries sucked. They were all soggy and greasy.

My parents are both great cooks which gave me a taste of gourmet cooking from a young age... I like to cook a lot, but I'm not of the skill level to create my own recipes, I'm too afraid of failure and can't afford too much food to mess up on .

Yeah, when it comes to cooking, you can modify shit however you'd like.

When baking, though, you need to stick to certain aspects of your recipe, or have a deep understanding of the mechanisms/science behind what you're doing.

my dad taught me how to cook because he's way better at it than my mom
I use recipes for baking, but cooking meals most of the time I just throw some stuff together.  usually just smell different ingredients and deciding if they go together or not.

I experiment alot less with baking because Ive had things go wrong. I can do focaccia, flat bread, roti, biscotti, cornbread and all manner of cookies that are awesome but Im not quite as experienced as a baker.

that spicy pasta dish looks fucking delishious..

mcdonalds fries have been a disappointment ever sense people bitched and made them change  the oil they were cooking it in... they could have just quit eating it all together.

i made stir fry by feel for the first time ever last week.. turned out good for a blind run.

I used to love to cook, but both my parents have glass-top stoves, and since I love to pan fry shit, the glass-tops have pretty much destroyed my love of cooking.

Although...my mom's grill has a side-burner...hmm...I think I'm gonna make something delicious tomorrow using that thing.

I love to cook when I get the chance. I usually dont have many spices, so when I splurge I go all out. I consider my self decent, not great by any means, but enough for everyone to be happy with their dinner and wanting more.

My best dish is my lasagna.
