Very first time making a Spore Syringe: Hardware Question...

Hello. I will be attempting to make my first syringe and I have some questions regarding hardware... Since I have never purchased syringes, what do I ask for? What gauge, what needle length do I need, etc? I don't want to go in there and be dumbfounded when they ask me a question about what size, etc etc. Any information and experience will help greatly!!! Thanks!

tips = needles, sometimes called 'cannulae'. 10 mL is a good syringe size, 18 gauge needle would be great. Blunt tip is fine, but don't get filter needles.
Where are you planning to buy the supplies? And what are you putting inside since you have no spores?

what about gauges (thickness of the needle)? Won't spores get clogged if too small, and if too large, will it suck up substrate?

Well, as far as getting them, I am planning on going to CVS. I have went into the hills and found some random mushrooms and made prints. I will experiment with these until I get some spores. I will purchase using a mail forwarding method I suppose.

Yeah. But he's got potential, a larval-stage cultivator.
If you're going to experiment with random non-magic mushrooms, use store mushrooms and not wild ones.

You're 29? You talk like a doofy little kid.
Get the right spores, grow the right mushrooms. Use the right tek, follow it the right way. That's my advice. I hope you'll take it.

My advice is if active spores are illegal, grow edibles.
Read a few books: Mycelium Running by Paul Stamets Growing Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms by Paul Stamets
Read, learn, experiment and first and foremost be safe.

..and you can trade an edible print/wedge for something shamanistic.
It is possible in CA.
Good luck,

That is what I am doing. I am practicing with wild mushroom species. I understand however that PK Tek does not work on certain species. I have read a lot and have a great idea on how to do, but when I actually attempt to apply what I have read, I am certain I will encourter a question. Thanks for your help. Thank you too DOC.
