    #14088854 - 03/08/11 08:26 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

Ahhhh yeah.:bigblunt:

I'd be down for some eggs, bacon and toast right now, but i think i'm just gonna go with Cinnamon Toast Crunch tonight.

Who else gets so high sometimes they can't wait for breakfast?

The best breakfast evar is pork chops, fried potato slices, and BUTTERMILK biscuits :drooling: I would wake up to the smell of that every weekend.

All made by my grandparents. I wish they were still around

Haha, anytime

It sucks though, no matter how hard I try, I will never be able to replicate that breakfast. My biscuits have JUST NOW started to get better. It takes alot of practice

You mean patience?

I actually haven't tried making them with buttermilk yet. It would end up going bad because nobody in my house likes it and I don't even make biscuits that often.

I've tried making them by the recipe on the bag of flour, but that way sucked. I eventually started using Bisquick and my best results have been with that. We just got a new oven too and I think it is making a huge difference because the biscuits I made the other day are the softest they have ever been :drooling:

Oh trust me I've been a hobby chef for... fuck almost 10 years.  I already have OCD so if I'm following a recipe it's going to be BY THE RECIPE.  I especially know that about baking.  I know all the science behind every step of baking, all the technique, everything.  I just can't fucking do it and I don't know why.  I'm basing this mostly on my 10 million failed pizza crusts, baugettes, foccacia, etc.  I can make cookies any day...

most you can grab under the gills. bass and catfish don't have teeth, just hold them by the lip, other wise, you can get poked. just part of fishing, sucks, and fish slim. yum.

Yeah but even though they don't have teeth, there's like some little spiky things on the inside of the lip that always kinda startle me.

And that looks like a really nice lake in the background. I love fishing when they are biting, but if I don't get something within 15 or 20 minutes, I start getting bored and impatient.

well those are their "teeth" technically, but it's like sand paper, it won't hurt you unless you rub it on your skin really fast.

if they aren't biting, try a different bait, move to a new spot. knowing each species feeding habits and habit is how you keep from getting bored, because chances are something is biting, you just need to know what and how to find it.

I blame the high altitude for my inability to bake.

Cookies turn out okay but I fuck everything else right up.

Oh, and I'm a pretty decent cook, but since I don't buy the groceries and I suck at looking through our shit and saying "hey, I can make x", I haven't cooked much in awhile.

Back when I was working, whenever I wanted to cook for my dad and sister, I'd figure out what sounded good and then go buy the ingredients. That's the best way to go.

Fuck yo Cracker Barrel

This is one of these old chrome trailer trucker stops, it's been around since the 50's and still has a nice retro feel. Cream beef on toast... Potato cut fries, old style jukebox and friendly people who have been giving me food since a youngin' :durrhurr:

Seriously, though - literally the only thing I know about the Cracker Barrel is that I have a good friend who shit himself in one of their parking lots post meal when he was a kid so they gave him a free harmonica because they felt bad.

Yeah, it sucks because we live on a lake and everybody fishes in it so much. Our neighbors have parties every weekend and catch like 40 or 50 crappie at a time and eat them all. So the fish get depleted fast, and on top of that, the fish are so fickle because everyone is always constantly trying to fish.

My favorite thing to use are spinner baits like Rooster Tails. And if I'm in some really clear water, I like to use worms. But I usually kinda suck at using worms. I can never get the timing right

Wasn't trying to knock diners or anything, I love them too. But I rather eat supper there than breakfast

That sucks about him getting sick. That can ruin a restaurant for you
