A cube is a cube?

Hello All
Im confused by this statement and hopefully someone could set me right. I have read on here that there is little difference between one type of cube to the next, fine.
Then why are there so many "different" spores available from vendors?
Are there different experiances? when ingested? different potency? Or are the differences only in appearence and size?
Im quite confused, the first spores I bought were Ecudorian (due to lack of options) But now that I look online there are so many options.
About myself. I havent taken shrooms in 10 years. I smoke weed daily but want to trip again. For the past 5 years ive had bad anxiety problems and if possible want a very mellow type of shroom. A trip that is contemplative and upbeat.

people find cubes in different area's and give it a different name
vendors thrive off this because its a selling point people think they can get something different, when in fact they are all the same..

Genetic diversity is the spice of life. If they only preserved one strain of psilocybe cubensis and some sort of pathogen developed that preyed upon it a global famine could occur like what you see happen in agricultural monocultures.

So I should just buy the cheapest and most readily available cube spores?

fair enough
so potency and trip effect aside.
There are different sized fruits and spores that colonize faster.
is this true?
If so do larger fruits have less active content because of their bulk?

Nah, almost all cubensis have similar fruit sizes and colonization times.
Larger fruits have less actives by weight. Shroom A becomes a pin, then it gets 2 inches tall, a few days later it grows to 6 inches tall. It is said that Shroom A has nearly the same active content at 2 inches, as it does at 6 inches.

Basically from what I have gathered on the forums posted by the experts like RR, there aren't really wild "strains" in P. Cubensis. There are only really 3 noticable genetic variations:
1) the various PE, Penis envy, morphs which are thick and the caps are screwy rarely mature properly 2) the (Columbian?) Red Spore which has red spores and print which I've heard causes reduced viability 3) Albinos, which I have only seen as the APE or Albino Penis Envy.
Other then that a cube is a cube, and they are indistinguishable from each other in size appearance, growth, potency etc. Other then the three I listed, any name is either a gimick, the name given to it by the discoverer or the location of discovery.

This thread has been closed.
Reason: There's a sticky 'strain thread' at the top of the page. RR
