Birth
    #1408755 - 03/25/03 01:26 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

I was sitting at my desk when all of a sudden I began thinking about birth and how it must feel to be born. Your senses functioning for the first time on a different level and shit, it must be like one huge trip. What do you people think? Any theories out there? Peace

I saw a show once where they implanted this device into an infant's head to allow her to hear sound for the first time.  The look on the baby's face when the doctors first turned the device on was one that I won't forget!  Such awe and wonder... She literally glowed!

I wish we could remeber the joy we all felt when first learning the awesomeness of our senses!  I doubt we'd ever take them for granted again!

Birth/Death kicks ass

Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me.

a baby is born and for a moment it is pure. it exists, and nothing else. after that its brain is corrupted and its soul stolen through this windy path of life.

that is a really dismal view of life. yes, birth is quite possibly one of the most amazing occurences on this earth, but the reason it is so awe inspiring is because it is the beginning of life. life is not something to be purely endured, but to be appreciated. the point is not to have your brain corrupted and you soul stolen, but rather to have your mind expanded and your soul enriched. birth is amazing because it is the start of an even bigger miracle...life.
