Ratchet & Clank 3, up your arsenal.
God of War 3 looks good and is amusing, but it can feel pretty mindless, like being along for the ride in a b movie with an overgrown effects budget. Perhaps that's a good thing.

I'm pretty much into anything. I went to the pawn shop and picked up god of war and baulders gate havn't played either of those before. I've played ratchet and clank once before and that was fun. I also had a great time playing time splitters 2 and future perfect they were for xbox though so I don't think I'll get them for the ps2.

The Baldurs Gate was a good pick. Theres 2 of them for PS2 and they'll provide hours of entertainment if you are into those kinda games. And along the same lines look for "Champions of Norrath" and "Champions:Return to Arms". Between those 4 games the wife and I spent countless hours playing together.

I think both had a few things I liked about them. The inventory management was better in one of them while I liked the leveling up options in the other. But to be honest, I can't remember which was which.
I know that Baldurs Gate 2 was a bit more advanced then Baldurs Gate 1. You had more options to customize weapons and armor that were not in the first one. While both of the 'Champions' games were pretty comparable.
But the gameplay is very similar in all 4 games and all the maps and levels are fun. Also, in one of the games you get to choose in the beginning (the end of the first level) if you are going to follow the path of good or evil and this will change entire portions of the game. There are entire maps and areas that are only played as either good or evil. But again, without loading them up I can't remember which game it was.
We played all of them through so many times that they really all blend together for me. We maxed out every character available at least once. Still to this day we pop one of them in every 6 months or so and have a run through.

I just looked at the games (the boxes, that is) and I'm pretty sure that "Champions:Return to Arms" was the one that had good/evil options. If you can find them you should try the Champions games. I think they seem a little more advanced. But any of them will be fun.

Also, the Burnout series are fun as fuck!
I spent 50 bucks the other day at Gamestop and got like 8ish games for PS2.
6 dollar games that used to be 50 a piece, fuck yeah!! PS2 never goes out of style!
