WTF?
Life in the universe does nothing to keep the universe working. If there was no life, nothing would change except the fact that there is no life.

We eat, we sleep, we feel good, we feel bad, we work to bring meaningless comfort to our and others lives, we wonder why we are here, clinging to life because we are afraid of what's going to happen when it's over. Why do we think life is so great? We don't even know the alternative.
What's the point of growing old? It's just more of the same, it's never going to magically change. In fact, it seems like it only gets worse, most old people seem pretty miserable.
It is a wonder people aren't lining up at cliffs/bridges, with religion promising eternal bliss and what not. That is like standing in the longest line at an amusement park, waiting for the greatest ride ever built, having a fast pass in your pocket, but not using it because you love waiting in line.
You would think the curiosity alone would claim more victims. I'm dying to find out what happens. Haha get it?
After you reproduce, your job is done. No need to stick around. Your life really doesn't matter like you think it does
im with you on this as far as.....these are the reasons that I see life as so beautiful and worth hangin out in for a while, but im not waiting for my death, my death has already arived, we've had a growing relationship since it showed up on the day i was born.

Not even really any point in reproducing anymore either, considering overpopulation.
Yeah I had that in there but decided to delete it.
I wrote this at 6 in the morning, 10 beers down, after a long drunken think session lol.
What got me thinking about all this was that all life is seemingly pointless. I mean, humans serve no purpose to the universe. How is our life any more important than a rat's?
How is it any less?

Don't even bother asking this guy to clarify himself, he's not very fond of doing that.

Whether or not we are important to the universe should be irrelevant to whether or not we are important to ourselves.

Agreed. More often than not, though, it seems that when one mentions that human life is no more important than that of an animal, they devalue human life to less than that of an animal's.

Why hurry death? Is death more important than life? If not, then I guess you get to make a decision. But I could probably predict which way that's gonna fall.
Fighting what is can lead to a lot of unnecessary suffering.
