Tiptoeing on a Cliff's Edge - DMT First Experience

The night began as an LSD/mushroom (1 hit/2 grams) trip with a small group of very close friends and good vibes in the room. It was a very profound trip for me, where I really got a grasp on the psychedelic experience (up until this point the trips I had weren't anywhere near as profound), and really see what my mind is capable of while under the influence of psychedelics. And I loved it.
Before this night I had done extensive research about DMT and it's effects, and had a strong desire to experience it at a point when I deemed myself ready. As it turned out, one of the friends who I was tripping with brought some DMT, and after my profound trip on LSD/mushrooms I truly felt I was ready for the DMT experience. We waited until the come-down had begun and my friend began to load personal bowls of DMT for those of us who wished to indulge.
Up until the point of holding the pipe to my mouth, I had no fear. But at that moment a wave of anxiousness came over me, but with a few deep breaths I readied myself. I took the first hit and followed immediately after with a second which I held in until my breath naturally escaped me. Instantly the most beautiful visuals I have ever seen came into my vision, images I will never forget. Following that a scene appeared of an Aztec pyramid with warriors marching around it authoritatively. I then had a feeling like I was falling, much like the first big drop of a roller coaster. This is it, I knew the breakthrough would be next. And then, I was distracted by voices in the room. I couldn't believe that my friend's were talking while others had just smoked DMT and quite honestly it ruined the rest of the trip. As I came out and expressed my disappointment I said I would give it another try after the others had gone so that I could have silence in the room. As the pipe came my way again, the others were just coming out of their trips. I took another two hits, my hands shaky this time with anxiousness. The visuals began again, as well as the falling sensation. And then, I'm distracted my my fellow tripper's crying from her DMT experience, just at the beauty of it all. I couldn't break through once again and was irritated by the distractions at this point.
With that, I felt the most anxious I ever have in my life thus far. I was still feeling the effects of the DMT and my breath kept escaping me and my legs shook very rapidly. We decided to go in another room, just one friend and myself, to minimize distractions. After the third attempt at breaking through, I just couldn't do it. There was a period of self exploration during this attempt where I found myself experiencing many thoughts that I'm not happy about. I became very selfish and judgmental which are traits I don't usually possess, of course these were just things I saw looking inward. Throughout the final attempt I found myself with the sensation of tiptoeing on the edge of a cliff; falling off would be the breakthrough I was looking for. Several times it was as though I was pushed off the edge, and as soon as I began to fall I was pulled back to the edge. It happened several times, sometimes I fell further than others before being pulled back to the cliff's edge.
I realized at that point that I was not in fact ready for DMT's sheer power. I got a taste of what it is able to unleash and it was beautiful. I am quivering with excitement to ready myself mentally for the next time I try it, and will be devoting a great deal of my thoughts to guide my mind in the proper direction for what I will experience. From what I can tell there is no way to be entirely ready for the experience, but I would like to be as passive as possible so I can simply observe what my mind is capable of. I now have a new level of respect for the amazing powerful molecule that is DMT.

Wow man! I never thought about the sure amount of unknown that DMT floods your brain with, I will one day do DMT but after reading that, I think that I need more time more mental preparation to guide my mind in the the experience. Do you think that LSD had some positive effect on preparing your mind for DMT?
-------------------- "Cat: If I were looking for a white rabbit, I'd ask the Mad Hatter. Alice: The Mad Hatter? Oh, no no no... Cat: Or, you could ask the March Hare, in that direction. Alice: Oh, thank you. I think I'll see him... Cat: Of course, he's mad, too. Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people. Cat: Oh, you can't help that. Most everyone's mad here. [laughs maniacally; starts to disappear] "

It was during the LSD peak that I realized that I was ready for DMT (or at least I thought I was). Before taking the LSD/shrooms I was a bit apprehensive about it but still very interested in it. Looking back it might have been better to have smoked the DMT during the LSD peak... But I'm not disappointed with my first experience with DMT at all .

I believe it was given to him by one of his friends who made it.
