A successful grow provided much knowledge, where to now?

Hey all. First off, my friend would like to take the time to thank everyone here at the shroomery. This place is fucking awesome. That being said, here is the scenario. My friend's first grow was a success. He fruited some cakes of various strains.. he tried a casing. The results have been nothing really to speak of but that bothers him none. You can ask a million questions and read a million texts but you really learn about growing mushrooms after succesfully growing shrooms. My friend had pretty shitty yields and they weren't all that potent. However, from what he's learned, he could list the things he did wrong and how he would correct them. Now that a lot of the newbie worries are gone and he knows a lot more about how this fungus grows, Where should he go from here? He lives in the country so he has access to horse poo. He still has syringes from this first grow that he didn't finish. He's ready to go at it again but this time, he wants to work on becoming better at growing... bigger yields, better potency. what do you guys recommend for my friend? he's ready to step up to a little more advanced growing techniques. So.. Colonize BRF cakes -- mix with pasturized poo -- then case? what do you guys think? Anything else he might want to try? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replies. I guess i'll give PF another try. This time, i'll double end case my cakes.. try a casing bigger than one cake.. maybe try Sea of shrooms.. but keep ideas coming everyone.. i'm wondering if poo is really that hard.. and if it's really that much better.. since i have all the horseshit i want.. i'm curious if i could pull it off and if it would be worth it. I'll probably try Roadkill's poo tek.

My friend did one PF Tek cycle. He then went to quart jars of WBS per this tek. It worked out quite well for him actually. He just called me telling me that one of the casings he made (he said he used 2 quarts of WBS cased with 50/50 verm sphagnum peat with a bit of crushed oyster shells) was just harvested. He estimates that he got 3/4 of an ounce from one flush (they aren't dry yet so he can't tell). He has another casing that will be harvested this weekend probably, with similar results.
So here's my friend's experience so far: First off was a mycobag (which was fruited as a cake in a terrarium once and then had 3 casing flushes). A couple weeks after mycobag innoculation came 7 PF jars . . . my friend fruited 5 as cakes and cased 2 of them. Great yields off the 2-cake casing, decent from the cakes. All of the fruits were very potent. Then made two more 2-cake casings for a total three 2-cake casings. These didn't go to well (because they were almost exhausted) so he got pissed and threw them out. He then went to the birdseed and (as stated above) he just got his first yields from that today. He is very happy about how everything is going so far, but very said because he told too many people and he has to stop after these casings are exhausted.
Do quart jars of WBS next.
