Need answers to prove my friends wrong!

Hey, my friends seem to think shrooms are worse for you than they really are. I'm trying to disprove them. The idiots think that shrooms cause your brain to bleed, which I know isn't true. Can you give me some kind of site that can officially disprove them, as in the exact URL. i haven't checked shroomery, but I don't think they say the negative effects anywhere. Also, out of interest, IF you were to much say, 2 grams a day, would it at all fuck you up? I'm not asking because someone is planning on doing this, just because I'd like to know.

Psilocybin, psilocin and psilocybian mushrooms have very low toxicity - in tests with mice, doses up to 200 mg of pure psilocybin/kg of body weight have been injected intravenously without lethal effects (that would be 13 grams of pure psilocybin per average human (65 kg / 140 lbs). The ED50:LD50 ratio is 641 according to the NIOSH Registry of Toxic Effects; compare this with 9637 for vitamin A, 4816 for LSD, 199 for aspirin and 21 for nicotine. According to Leo Hollister, Jonathon Ott, and John W. Allen, one would have to consume their body weight in fresh mushrooms or eat approximately 19 grams of the pure chemical substance to bring on death. As long as Psilocybin mushrooms are properly identified, poisoning is not a problem.

It's a lot less toxic than aspirin. That pretty much sums it up. You could eat 2 grams every day with no physial problems but the psychedelic effects would rapidly wear off.

have their dumbasses explain to you exactly what happens and how bleeding occurs. and when they go "uh i dunno, but my friend's bro said it happened to him" kick them in the nuts repetively.

hahahaha most of my friends are that way.....
They think your brain will bleed and you will die and go crazy and stab people and your brain will rot.

But they smoke around a pack a day and get drunk every other night and do a lot of pain killers........hmmmmmmmmmm

It sounds like your friend's brain bleeds everyday by the sounds of the drivel they're trying to pass off as fact. Ignore them, and say "If you can't give me any proof they cause your brain to bleed, then you're full of shit".
And even if they try to come up with some made up fact, they're lying. If say, shrooms DID make your brain bleed, there would be no way I would be alive right now, because something like that is FATAL. Yet, there's millions of shroomers alive and well out there.
