Spreading Cubensis Spores in Your City... Could it work?

While reading "Mycelium Running" and company, I read about how Stamets suggests making spore prints on clothing, so that wherever you roam, you are dropping spores like mad, helping spread mushrooms with no effort.
While in Cuba this year, during the VERY VERY dry season, I had a thought. What if I printed spores all over my vacation clothes, and roamed around the resort area, and then come back to the same area 1, 2, or 3+ years later, could I have a chance to find fruits? Not during the dry season of course.
After that thought, I came up with another one. After scraping spores from a print onto Agar/etc, you could hang the scraped print onto your rear-view mirror, and help bring spores wherever you go. Maybe with enough spores, and enough time, you could help make the plant "indigenous" to the area?
Just curious what people thought, or perhaps what they have tried...
Thoughts?

a way i've read is to start culture on cardboard. once settled, scrape mycelium from cardboard in water. Put water in super soaker. Use your imagination.

getting the spores to the area is not the problem.
the problem is the climate of where you are putting spores.
cubensis spores have basically already been blown all over the earth.
all over.
they grow where they can.
if they arent growing in a cuban resort its because the climate is not correct.

Then how can one cultivate outdoor patches? I've heard of people cultivating cubes up in northern areas

Well, the problem in Cuba was that it was in the dry season (Feb), and had not rained in over 2 weeks. So I have no idea how viable it could truly be.
That cardboard disc/super-soaker idea sounds cool though

So when people burry there spent cakes outside in say New England, is it possible that they might fruit?
Maybe during spring or something if the weather is right or if you keep the ground wet where you put them?

if the temperature and moisture content is correct.
temperature you can't really control
but as posted twice already in this thread.
water is most important to out door patches (at least of the cubensis variety)

Also, if your urethra has enough pressure, you can piss *on* Florida from Cuba, so I wouldn't be surprised if the spores did fair well there during the rain season.
I don't live in Cuba, but I figured if spores could survive *until* the constant wet season (Spring/Fall in Canada where I live), then perhaps if you spread enough around, you might start finding them.
So Cuba/Canada/Wherever it's sometimes really wet for long enough periods... I figured there'd be hope if there are spores abound.

i think another big factor how cube mycelium woulnt survive freezing temperatures so each year you would need to start a new patch or reley on spores and the planets alignment
do any of you guys think that has more to do with their not being a population of cubes up north? being as their is an ideal window of opportunity in most regions at one point or another

A couple weeks from now, I'm gonna make about 2 gallons of sporewater, and go out and spray every cow patty in my grandfather's field. I just know with enough spores, I can get a strain cold hardy enough to survive a southern Kentucky winter...
