Why are you teaching a reverend's son how to play guitar? Are you one of them Christians or something?

I'm confused as to why it even matters, If he wants to learn guitar and his dads cool with it. I know a son of a pastor, and they sit on their front porch and him and his dad play Black Sabbath.

Assuming the fact that he's a reverend is a problem, his son is not a reverend. Do you have the same beliefs as your parents?
He might be a cool kid. But if its a scheduling conflict then i guess its really a moot point.

Reverend Tommy Tossi is a definite SCAM
I received an identical email for drum lessons that i posted an ad for on craigslist.
If you encounter this fucking prick, don't fall for it.... YES, it sounds legit, thats why he's a scammer. he's going to ask you to cash a ridiculous check and deduct your costs for lessons and wire the rest of the money to a cab company... The check has no money to back it up, and when you cash it, iit's coming out of your bank account... there is no fucking cab company... He is the cab company, and by the time you wire that money, you'll find out that the check wasn't backed up and that money came straight from your bank account....
It's completely fucked
report him to the FBI if you get the chance. he deserves to be ass-raped daily

Also adding semi-relevance :-) I posted an ad on Craigslist, not for any lessons but for dog walking services in NJ...I received an email from someone that was clearly not fluent in American English so I searched the name & email on Facebook (usually my 1st stop to get a picture of who I may be dealing with) but nothing...did a yahoo search for "Rev Tossi" and found this forum so I 'd like to add...the email I received (and will not be responding to) was:
Quote:
I'm Rev Tossi,i will need a dog sitter/walker service for my Skippy of 2yrs.I will need the service for a month, excluding Sunday that i will stay, the service duration would be an 2hour of each day that i will not be with him.The time of the service 11am to 1noon.So get back with your quote for me to see if OK by me to proceed with deposit to reserve the spot.God bless YOU.
Rev. Tossi
I realllllly hope he hasn't found a sucker yet!

I received the same dog walking email and a 4000 dollar check from fedex, from a legitimate company and legitimate bank. I find it difficult to believe he has 2 dogs named Skippy in NJ and NM. And I called every cab company in town they don't transport pets. The "rev" number and degrees and company he's working for changes with every post

Same thing happened to me. I post on Craigslist periodically to advertise my music lessons studio. Luckily I stumbled across this thread when I became a bit suspicious. I figured if he really worked for UNICEF he'd be in some article somewhere online about his ministries. And I found all this! I'd copy the email but it's the same old Rev. Tommy Tossi and his son Steven looking to expand his mind during 3 weekly hour long lessons. It's pretty terrible that he's claiming to be a missionary working for UNICEF.... I wonder what that organization would feel about this. What I want to know is what the scam is exactly? I saw earlier someone on here received a check for $4000, but they didn't say what they did with it. Anyway, I didn't give him any info that isn't on my website, so I hope I'm not in danger... Anyway, since he's probably in a hole in Africa somewhere I doubt the scammer will ever be punished, but I guess it's good to spread the word
