Ok before anyone tells me its just healthy myc i would just like to confirm that it is. granted the pics are the best i could get them. This WBS jar was inoculated with a LC of transkei last week thursday, i shook it on Saturday when i noticed it partly colonized not even 25%. Incubation temperatures are 29.5C
This is what i have today:

That seems like awfully fast colonizing.
Any ideas?

At this temp. it is just normal, that the grain is completely colonized after 5-6 day's, if you use LC.

It looks like healthy mycelium to me, and cobweb is somewhat of a rarity in jars, as far as I know. I believe it's more of a casing layer fiend resulting from the case / substrate being too wet. Wait for a more solid response, though! Good luck.

I didnt have a pic of it on day two, there was white fluffy stuff on the top of the wbs, and then patches around the sides. No idea why i had the urge to shake , but i did.
I innoced another 3 wbs jars with the same LC, will see the speed on those.

Don't presume. I have been looking all day at pictures of the stuff, and some pictures i ran across looked similar before the shake, hence im asking.

I shake the grain (not hard) right after the inoculation with the LC. After 5 days at 30C they are full colonized (most of the time).

so do you still have any doubt after looking at the picture i posted?
and did you read the text accompanying the picture i posted?
"cobweb becomes darker and more grey than cube mycelium as it ages"
if you thought it was cobweb before you shook it, why would it consolidate into a nice white color.
broooooooooo rrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad use yer noggin.
here's how i got that thread.
i when to the search engine, i typed the word "cobweb" not even the word mold.
and i checked the box that filters all the results to only view the TRUSTED CULTIVATORS posts.

Because the operative word is "becomes". Meaning a future occurrence. And the link you supplied shows the mold, which doesn't look like it. However pics i saw earlier today resembled it slightly. Further more i just wanted some other peoples input with a keener eye, considering i have only been doing this for a month. I see no harm or foul?
Thanks your input k00laid duly noted.

nor do i see any harm or foul in giving you a hard time over the internet
