though it isn't coming out, per se, i still have respect for those that can realize and accept their sexuality considering the stigma surrounding homosexuality. i have a 'grudge', for lack of a better way to put it, who are quite obviously running from their sexuality. maybe not a grudge, but i feel bad about them feeling bad about themselves. lolz...

While some people readily accept other people's homosexuality, and many people don't care if someone's gay, there are always a hardcore few who will make a gay person's life a living hell, as much as they can. Check out godhatesfags.com, for example. And while the gay haters do their work, the accepting people can't or won't be able to do much to help people like Michael Shepard while they're dying on the fence.

Hey now, that's serious business sir!
Let me edit my statement before... I think being pansexual is more of a philosophical statement than a statement of sexual preference, where as bisexual and the like are all preferences and/or drives or what have you.
Being pansexual is a statement that "I am an equal opportunity employer of love baby" (put that in a sexy black dude's voice for comic relief). It's saying that everyone gets a chance to show who they are regardless of the giblets they were born with or added on after.

Pansexuality is more inclusive than bisexuality, for example including the transgendered and genderqueer.
Bisexuality for many, perpetuates the gender binary, and those that identify as pansexual, identify with a much larger spectrum.

Exactly, which is why I think pansexuality more easily fits into being a philosophy. It is a statement that you will allow love to come from anywhere it may present itself and not close out any possible options.
Having said that, I would venture to guess that many who identify as bisexual may really be pansexual whether they actively work under that categorical name or not.

Yep, I tend to agree and attribute this to the recent increase of people that identify as pansexual.
