i know it's still suicide, but idk whatever

I always thought huxley's way of going out on an IV of two sheets injected by his wife would be a beautiful way to go.
I hope he has peace in his last moments, that's all we can really hope for in this life after all, a peaceful end to it

reminds me of that film, "you dont know jack", i really liked it. it's also about euthanasia. do u feel it's wrong to do it (because most of you are americans, i'm not, so i have a hard time imagining your ways to such things)?

i myself am not American but dutch and here it is legal and widely accepted. The doctor always has the last say and the patient receives ample care to ensure the least of suffering.
From a economic standpoint it is also beneficial since those types of patients that are in the very last stages are the most expensive to take care off. But i hate to put numbers and economics on things like these.

Suffering is why god is a lie, to ease peoples mind. Life is "hell" at least the guy finally has an escape from the repression which is living.

are you buddhist? just curious cuz that's kind of what buddha says in some of his lesser known words, that basically mayyyyyybbbeeee there's a God or heaven or whatever but you have to let go of it because most people just use it as a crutch to justify their actions and comfort themselves over inexplicable pain (but that real suffering-not pain, suffering-is from being attached)-just curious
I have come to the conclusion through my tripping, meditation and general philosophical pondering however amateurish that may be, and reading of buddhist texts like the tibetan book of the dead that IMO most likely what happens when you die is that your consciousness fades into the nothingness it arose from and if you are truly at peace with everything then it will be a beautiful experience but if not then your hatred, selfishness, etc will manifest itself in a "hell" of an experience-and it will probably seems to take forever because of your mind slowing down, almost like inception or an object on the event horizon of a black hole

No its just my belief that god doesnt exist because a divine creator would not, no matter how bad we are, put us here to suffer for his own entertainment. God =
But if god does exist then hes a sadistic psycho.

According to Wiki, it was only 100ug IM delivered by his wife. Either way, that plus the process of death must of been one hell of a trip.

Yeah, it was 100ug. I thought it was IV though, I'm not positive though. I guess if Wiki says IM then it's probably IM. That's not sarcastic by the way.

hehehe, my bad the original story I heard was two sheets, then later I saw the story was true but didn't check the dose. Personally though I think I'd do a huge heroic dose if I was about to die

I don't think a huge heroic dose would be necessary. I'm sure dying is trippy enough.
Unless you put a gun to your head or something.

yeah, what the fuck?
maybe its some kind of attention thing. it must be comforting to have a bunch of people talking to you when you die but...
its something we're all gonna have to face alone.

I wouldnt want to choose the moment. Id rather suffer than watch someone kill me. Death comes when you least expect it and you dont even know your dead. But to choose your hour just scares me. My uncle died of brain cancer and thats how he went.

you're more afraid to know its coming than to be in the dark about it?
how does that make sense

Yes actually. Ignorance is bliss. How about I hold and gun to your head and tell you your gonna die right now? Or would you rather just drop dead someday without any knowledge of when it will happen?

well I think there isn't much true evil out there compared to just plain ignorance, but that ignorance of everyone makes suffering occur accidentally all the time. For instance a lot of people think if you do shrooms or smoke weed you are evil and therefore they are complete dicks, but they do it not out of genuine evil themselves but through ignorance, yet suffering was created. The only way to end ignorance is to always admit it. You will still have it yeah, but you will know you are much more ignorant than you or informed and understanding, and you shouldn't really try to understand everything because you can't, you must understand nothing, and master zen

you never just drop dead. i find it incredibly unlikely that you won't know you're going to die.
maybe if you didnt see a truck coming and it hit you. what a shitty way to go.
"didn't know what hit 'em." never sounded like a desirable ending to me.
maybe we're just different people.
