Easiest spore strain to use for Beginners
    #14076090 - 03/06/11 03:16 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

Is B plus the best strain to start out with as a beginner?
I am curious of the most forgiving strain to work with.

Haha I won't break out that "cubes are cubes" shit. Stay away from the PE strains, and you will have a similar ride for most every other cubensis strain. I used B+ as my first strain and it was very easy. I experienced little difference between that and Golden Teacher, PES Hawaiian, Cambodian, Treasure Coast, and a few more as far as growth rate, contam resistance , or ease of growth all together.

EQ isn't bad for beginners either

The mushrooms, which grow only during the season of torrential rains, awaken the forces of creation and produce an experience of spiritual abundance, of an astonishing, inexhaustible constitution of forms that identifies them with fertility and makes them a mediation, a means of communion, of communication between man and the natural world of which they are the metaphysical flesh.

I hear good things about Z strain, especially in terms of fast colonization.

Does Z - Strain give decent yield if using PF Tek?

in comparison to what? yield depends more on substrate, techniques and so forth than it does on genetics. Unless you get old crap.

Which sub is second best for easiest use? I have only used Brown Rice flour, I assume Wild Bird Seed is next in line to ease?

I will.

Cubes are cubes.  The name somebody wrote on a print does not differentiate it as a strain.  Period.

There is a 'strain thread' at the top of the page.  Use that please, not the general forum.
