Humidity issue...

Ok so long time lurker here and first attempt at cultivating..
I inoculated 6 BRF cakes and all 6 grew nice mycelium with no contams.. My issue is now all my cakes are in my FC and my humidity will not get above 80%
I have a 65 qt clear bin with 4" layer of hydrotron and fish tank air diffusers under clay and a cup of water with another air diffuser in it..
I mist every day and fan 4 times a day..
My meter was bought at a high end local hydroponics shop and it will never read above 80%
I have condensation that is on the walls and lid, but not sure if it is just from me misting ?
All help is appreciated.. Thanks

fan less, lose the fish tank air diffuser. is the meter digital or analog? Condensation simply means temp difference inside and out of the tub not a measure of humidity.

do you have a shotgun style FC? if so get rid of the air wands, mist then fan 3-5 times a day..
most hygrometers are pure crap, but if a SGFC is constructed like its suppose to it's guarentee'd to hold humidity just fine.

I'm no fan of bubblers and aquarium pumps in terrariums, because fresh air is the number one pinning trigger and you won't exchange enough air through a 1/8" hose.
As for the humidity, you have a hygrometer problem, not a humidity problem. I'd be worried about the lack of fresh air. RR

As for the humidity, you have a hygrometer problem, not a humidity problem. Take a look at the back of the hygrometer. If it says 'made in china', mystery solved.
I'd be more worried about the lack of fresh air. RR
