If I knew what urg was I might have picked it.

I'll probably never be fully satisfied with my life to be honest. This world is just too fucked up. It gets to me.

So by implication you suggest that to be alive is to be unsatisfied?

I think we need both the mental realization that we create the feeling with our minds and the external gratification of going out and experiencing new stuff regularly to be satisfied.

It only leaves me wondering what values we use to define when we are satisfied.  Knowing that we create the feeling ourselves and the values our self changes the whole game because then anything you decide can be rewarding.  Often people use their perception of other peoples value system to decide when they personally are achieving and thus should reward their selves with the feeling but isn't that a bit illogical?

I voted urg as I am mostly satisified with my life. Some things could be better, i suppose thats normal though.

Things that need improvement are things such as money, women, better spent free time. All things easily adjusted though....

It will be to me. I'm tired of having nosey parents breathing down my neck. Today's story was with my gram scale that I just got in the mail.

Mom: What was that package you got in the mail the other day?
Me: A scale, it was only like $5.00.
Mom: What do you need a scale for?
Me: I dunno, I just wanted it. Stephen has been wanting one for a while anyway.
Mom: What does he need a scale for?
Me: I don't know? So he can weigh things? What does it matter?

Jesus I'm so tired of her asking WTF is in every package I get. I can't have any privacy around this place.

Haha, I finally came up with a valid excuse for her. My boyfriend shoots air rifles and buys a shit ton of different types of pellets, so I told her it was so he could weigh them all and do some shooting calculations

I discovered that since the end of January, I've went through only 3 grams of my 7.5 gram bag of weed. I think that's pretty fucking good :awesomenod:

Well, so far the only questionable things to arrive here for me have been some pieces of paper and some Kratom. I had to lie about the kratom and tell her it was some plant seeds.

Pretty soon though I won't even be able to lie about seeds because she's so pissy that I'm ordering more seeds. She doesn't want me to grow anything this year, she claims I'm taking over the yard :snub:

I got the exact same as I did take over the garden last year:lol:

In one pot where I left the chopped stem rooted in the soil,my buddy pointed out the other day that two seedlings have sprouted:smile2:

There were seeds in it last year and a few must have fallen off the plant and lasted through all winter and germinated with the recent warmer temperature. Couldn't believe it.

Haha, seeds are pretty resilient I've found out. I had a cilantro plant that dropped hundreds of seeds in the dirt when it died and I had a bunch of little sprouts the following year.

The main reason my mom gets pissed is because we have such a big yard, it's a pain in the ass to lug the hose around the whole yard every day to spend at least an hour watering all the plants. I usually water them myself, but for a while last summer it got so fucking hot out that I just refused to go outside, because by the time I was finished I would be soaked in sweat :puke:

What sort of heat are we talking,40c or so?

Hottest day of the year here was about 25c and I was out in it for hours tripping down the beach and turned into a lobster. Nearly got sunstroke and everything.

About 35c. I never use celsius, I had to go find a converter

It just got miserably hot throughout the whole day and I would be outside watering even after dark sometimes and the heat still hadn't died down.

I had planted some Four o' clocks, which are named because they tend to bloom in the evenings around 4:00. Well I noticed mine never did bloom out fully, but had plenty of buds all over them. I got up early one morning and went out and looked at them and they were blooming.

I figured out that they are also heat sensitive, and it was so fucking hot out that they wouldn't even bloom. I finally started going out at like 10:00 or 11:00 at night to check and see if they had bloomed yet.

So yeah, it got pretty hot last year and we hardly had ANY rain at all.

I'd say I'd prefer to be too hot than too cold.

Too hot and you don't want to do much and you can fall asleep easy but if it's too cold you're miserable and in need of a hot drink and would not be able to sleep easy. You'd still be miserable being too hot but at least you could balm out and accept it.

I've always said the opposite, that I would rather be cold than hot. Because at least with cold, you can bundle up and put on lots of layers and if you're trying to sleep you can just pile on tons of blankets. But I guess thinking about it, that would be pretty fucking uncomfortable too.

From what I have experienced though, I can deal with being cold alot better than I can being hot. Being hot and sweaty just makes me fucking miserable and I hate being sweaty and gross.

Now both of ye are making me question myself.

Provided I was out of direct sunlight,I think I'd prefer to be baking hot than wrapped up in a load of clothes out in cold. My feet usually get sore in cold weather too and the shoes I wear never keep in any sort of heat. They'd feel like they're going to drop off.

I'm pretty satisfied with my life. Some people seem to be bored all the time and always require other peoples company or drugs to cope with the boredom.
I don't see why people don't realize there are awesome hobbies you can pick up and develop into applicable skills that can help you out lots later in life.

I do hope to accomplish a lot though, as I'm pretty young

If they have heaters up there I'll be fine  I guess I would hate shoveling snow though. We get an inch of snow down here and the state shuts down

I guess I would rather be hot if I had to be outside in it. But I burn really easily so I would have to wear those things that Arabs wear out in the desert

I have the same problem with my feet in the winter. They literally turn into blocks of ice, even wearing thick wool socks 24/7. Nothing warms them up.

I chose NO because ...
* I am in a dead end marriage
* My wife is cheating on me
* My car broke down today with no chance of fixing it
* Getting yelled at and things thrown at me on a daily basis is not fun
* My mother told me she hated me and wished shed never had me 2 days ago

so yeah about the only positive thing in my life is that I am alive and I have a new job starting tomorrow.

I can do hot if it's not a humid hot.

Vegas at 120 degrees was phenomenally better than Massachusettes at 104 degrees or Arkansas at 110.

Yeah, that's true. Humidity is everything. It's been rather cool outside lately so we've been sleeping with the windows open and the fan on at night. Despite that, I still have been waking up every morning in a pool of sweat because it's so humid. Not fun.

Ya,I was in Majorca when it was their hottest summer in a century or something. Well it was 40c or so but it was fine as it wasn't humid.

Well 40c in Seville this summer and it was a joke. I was getting looks off the locals walking round as there was sweat falling off my face while they're walking around bone dry.

6 days there was too much. Lovely place but I wouldn't go back in August again.

the dry air is what really gets to me during the winter. that and the brutal ice cold. i got frostbite about 10 times this year. sucks man

then your skin itches from bein so dried out all the time. and starts peeling n shit

:feelsbadman:

also having to awkwardly walk 3 blocks to the parking lot over ice coverd sidewalks slippin n slidin everywhere while your face gets the shit kicked out of it by the relentless wind gusts

then having to dig ur car out of the snow for 20 minutes while your skin gets torn apart and the mucus drip from your nose turns into mini icicles on your lips

It's the wind that gets me in the winter...I dont like getting wind burn.

It was pretty bad earlier in the year, my car was encased under 2-3 inches of solid ice. On top of that was a few inches of snow.
It took me about an hour to get it open and uncover the windows. I rolled around with plates of ice on top of all the rest of the car and they stuck there for a week or more.

one of the craziest snow storms a couple weeks ago we got like 5 feet within 7 hours or something insane like that

snow emergency n the plows had to come by and dump the cumulative snow of the entire street onto my car, completely burying it in snow so there was no way i could get it out i had to wait till it melted a couple days later

whats been really crazy is a couple times up here it was 40-50 degrees and bright n sunny, then the next day a huge snow storm n the temp drops to the negatives

that's happened a few times

fuckin weird weather man

pretty much what I was going to say. I think if you are ever "satisfied" with life then what's left to be hopeful for, what gets you up in the morning you know? But at the same time you should always be satisfied that your life is the best it can be at the moment as long as you are striving toward the right things, etc. Kind of an ongoing process eh?

You just gotta stay positive. I was homeless 2 years ago.
I have plenty of things to complain about, I'm in debt, my teeth are royally fucked up.
But.. I'm getting a promotion/raise... I just got premium dental insurance..... so....
Just have to always see the light at the end of the tunnel, while still staying realistic.
Find a direction you want to go in and just do it all the way. Sometimes you will fail, sometimes you will epically succeed.
You will fuck up, just learn from your mistakes, and try again.
Life is pretty much whatever you make of it.. you just need a direction to go in.
But if you put all of your will into something 100% what can stop you really aside from death?
It doesn't matter what you do as long as you are true to yourself and follow your passion.

I was living in a truck and that got stolen, and then i was squatting in this abandoned business with all these natives who pissed on the floor even though we had working toilets.

Luckily i had comprehensive insurance on the truck and it paid out much more than I coulda gotten from selling it.

Still cant find work other than just vending for myself though.

I think i will be fully satisfied when i know i can go out into the woods and survive.

I'm unsatisfied about how employment, or lack there of and/or money is such a huge sticking point when it comes to the average person's satisfaction.

It have a real problem with other people (boss, politicians, bank etc.) determining with their actions whether people lower down on the ladder can achieve that illusion of satisfaction.

I will be satisfied when i know that if i want i can go live off the land and bypass all of that.

and/or work for myself.

I'd be multiples more satisfied biting into a fresh picked edible mushroom, or fishing up a fresh trout than prostituting myself to a broken and corrupt system for money that can never truly buy that which nature offers, so that i can go buy a big mac for dinner on my way home from work.

But most of all i'm generally just happy to be alive.

That seems to be the way it works. Life on planet Earth in the 3rd dimension is a rollercoaster, all kinds of ups and downs.
I kind of like it that way. Without the extreme downs, you would have no point of comparison and then there we be no extreme good.

You have to know what :feelsbadman: is, in order to truly appreciated :awesome:

Otherwise everything would just be fucken :bored:. Diversity is the spice of life.

Just take things as they come, and try to treat everything as a learning experience. Especially the crazy bad experiences.
Be appreciative of the things you DO have,, and show gratitude to the Universe by giving back

I feel happy some times and just completely numb other times. My life is ok, but it could be so much more. 'm just too lazy to do something. I have a job, a girlfriend, I'm going to college. All the ingredients are there. I want to go on a 5,000 mile road trip, go on a week long camping trip, have real moments of human connection, I want to do all that stuff.

I end up sitting in my apartment, going on the computer, going to school, going to work.

I think this is a hard question to answer with just yes or no (or urg). I would say I'm mostly satisfied with my life, but there are times of dissatisfaction. I think that's life.

A couple years ago I took time off school to save money.

My debts are all paid and my savings is pretty nice. I want to do something with it, but I feel I'm just being grandiose {I think I might have bipolar disorder, depression at least}.

I am satisfied with my life.

And what I mean by that is:
If I were to die this very second I would be completely okay with how things turned out.

My friend from philly showed em to me and tried to say his cousin knew him or something, but I have the feeling he was just kind of caught up in the moment and bullshitting

He actually wasn't that old, but had a rare disease that made his body age much more rapidly than usual. That coupled with a few other physiological conditions usually present with the disorder.

It's called "Progeria Syndrome"

i'm moderately satisfied, looking toward the future however.

i only see my life progressing in 3 ways:

1. becoming a car tuner (racing, drifting, etc.)

2. becoming a rambling gambler

3. becoming a rambling gambling electronica dj.
