Z-strain FTW! so far, anyway... (updated)
    #14074747 - 03/06/11 09:17 AM (12 years, 10 months ago)

so yeah.. The z-strain syringes i made from a spore print given to me by a fellow member got noc'd up into 6 jars 5 days ago, and this morning, lots of growth..

my house is cold as fuck.. Its 110 years old (no joke), and it gets cold, especially at night..

my point is, these WBS jars, noc'd up with z-strain, in a cold house, have germinated, and actually started some pretty vigorous growth.. all in only 5 days.. that is the shit.. especially from a MS noc-up..

if they keep at this rate, they will probably have gone from spore to fully colonized quart jars in 10 days.. maybe less..

I cant wait to see what this does on coir..

to distribute colonized kernels around the jar, to create more inculation points, thereby speeding up colonization.. think of it like an invitro grain-to-grain transfer.. hahaha.. if that makes any sense.. at about 20-30% colonization, i shake do distribute the mycelium throughout the grow medium.. after they recover, it will grow again from allllllllll over the jar, quickly taking over everything the mycelium touches..

14 days, including germination time.. really, only 10 days from the time I saw myc, to 100%.. giggity

im probably going to be sticking with this strain for a long time if fruiting goes well.. if its 14 days from MS, then when I start g2g, it should be like 7-10 days..

Nice Yosha, as i said, Z-Strain is the fastest cub strain.
I like to wait 'till i see some rhizome's before i spawn it to the coir.
But if you want to do, G2G it should be fine now.
BTW if you use your phone to take the pic's, you should use at least a distance of 3 foot.

well, its not the distance, its if the camera moves at all when pressing the button, it will make it blurry.. lol.. its pretty dumb..

and im not doing my run yet.. I like to wait another 24-48 hours after 100% before I spawn..

When I do my spawn run, im going to keep some of the spawn in the jars, to noc up more jars.. Then when they fruit, I will clone, and make a master jar from whatever I feel is the best donor.. Then the master jar will be used for g2g for all my jars..
