Yeah well, overpopulation is getting pretty ridiculous now. Human's are conditioned and act in a way that is totally un natural, our behaviour is very different from other animals in the way that we seem very frightened of our own bodies and exposure or contact, also seems people talk about and do strange things that there's no reason for animals to really care for. It's like everyone is hiding this big secret inside about their primalistic tendencies and pretending to care about weird things to do with uninteresting jobs as some sort of distraction.

Obviously you are wrong. Humans do what they do because that is all they are capable of doing at this time.

Humanity needs war to control population growth.

War has an effect that benefits population control. Are you just arguing for the sake of it?

Were all those killed in all wars still alive today, and their offspring we would most likely be out of available resources. That would be the issue under discussion imo. War as taken a lot of people out of the equation.
The people lost from recent wars doesn't even show up on graphs of worldwide population growth.
Wars generally have the effect of increasing population growth, which is brought on by the use of technology created in the improvement of logistics and armament that wars are fought with being applied to the production of food, shelter and transportation for civilian populations.

You're not taking into account the dead men's progeny. That would be dramatic. Especially over many thousands of years.

That works under the assumption that the dead people haven't had kids yet and if they didn't have kids yet that they are all definitely going to have kids.

It would be if other people weren't making up for their slacking and dying, but it isn't because other people do make up for it and they are better equipped to do it with resources and better allocation of resources, than before the conflicts that left them dead.

Most people reproduce. Not a big leap of faith. Most warriors are young and will reproduce.
Why am I even bothering with the obvious? Have fun guys.

I don't think it's all about overpopulation. I think it's more about the addiction to the luxuries we have.

I was broadening the conversation. OP was getting that war is good for culling the population. Pointing that overpopulation is the major problem. Which was pointing that resources are sparse because of the growing population.
And I was pointing that people have an addiction to the resources, which adds to the decrease in resources.
