take one lid.
drill or poke or stab or jab 2 holes.
stuff 1 hole with polyfil
stuff the other hole with silicone, RTV or otherwise.
let silicone dry/cure overnight. bam.
when tilting to get LC out be sure not to tilt on the polyfil side :3
but i am a proponent of GRAIN LIQUID CULTURES as opposed to sugar based.
you can find it on the search engine

I fucked w/ Morelman's no-tilt design:

These work just fine too, my standard grain lids:

You're making it way to difficult on yourself. A lid is a lid. All you need is an Inoculation point + a GE hole covered w/ some type of filter media...

RTV silicone makes a self-healing port. Those self-healing injection ports are a waste of money IMHO. I bought 100 of the bitches & threw out all 3 that I experimented w/. They get used up real quick & then you have to fill then w/ RTV.
Skip the self-healing injection ports & just use RTV for injection ports

yea, RTV does wear out as well, but It's a lot easier & cheaper than buying injection ports.
Besides, You should silicone in your injection ports too, so why not just save yourself the hassle?

Go to wally world. Pick up RTV silicone & E-Z-Felt make your holes. Punch or Drill Fill one w/ RTV Cover the other w/ the felt sealed on the exterior of the lid w/ silicone. Let cure over night. Done.
