Mimosahuasca prep and side effects
    #14074391 - 03/06/11 06:39 AM (12 years, 10 months ago)

Well I've done DMT before and have a fair bit of MHRB lying around a about 50g of Syrian Rue, I've never done a DMT brew before but have always wanted to. My main concern is the length of the trip induced, side effects like vomiting and diarrhea etc. And ofcourse the appropriate amount of the MHRBP and Rue to use, and what to do with it.
Am I right in thinking 10 grams of harmala seeds and 2 grams of mimosa should be sufficient? how long will this last?

I'm curious to see how many people have experienced vomiting, nausea or diarrhea as a result, and how many have not. And how many of those that did experience nausea did not abstain from food consumption for a reasonable amount of time.

I'm basically trying to gauge how best to go about administering the beverage so as to best enjoy its content.

I think you've got those numbers mixed up. You'll need around 12 grams of Mimosa and only 3-4 grams of Rue (the recipe I used said this was a low dose... I'd have to disagree, it felt pretty strong to me). If you need a recipe I can direct you to one.
As for the nausea/vomiting, I think that nausea is an inescapable side effect of Mimosahuasca but it doesn't last for the whole experience. Out of the three or four times that I've taken the brew I only vomited once, and that was because I didn't take enough time to reduce the liquid. It tastes pretty horrible, so you're gonna want to reduce the final brew to an amount you can drink in a few gulps.

hope this helps!

Yeah, you got it backwards.  You might benefit from a bit more research before doing anything with your goods.

Two grams of P. Harmala seeds (yuk!) and 10 - 12 grams of decent MHRB tea will do the trick.  I highly recommend doing a Manske extraction of the Syrian Rue seeds, though.  Then the gastrointestinal effects will be minimal or absent.

Thanks for the feeback guys, and ye I did get it wrong my bad it's been a while since I looked into anything on DMT I am a bit vague it was also after 1:00am. I like the idea of a Manske extraction never heard of that before although I understood that the nausea might be a component of the Mimosa more so than the rue seeds. Someone has also mentioned to me some form of egg yolk or gelatin method for removing undesirable tannins etc. As I understand real ayahuasca made from legitimate Amazonian components also makes people purge, perhaps it really is inescapable. Am I to assume neither of you have experienced a laxative effect? This is probably my major concern as I would rather not shit myself, its just a matter of preference.

Oh...I have experience with it.  Just don't LIKE it!  That's why I suggest the Manske extraction.  Gets rid of all the nausea and uterotoxic elements (more important if you are female).

Can you elaborate in regards to the aforementioned experience? I am just trying to gain some insight as to what to expect etc. Also what from your experience is an average length of a 12g mimosa trip?
