the first post basically sums it up, the main change for me is my mindset and perspective, especially about all the bullshit society has created. Life could be so much more simple

a greater appreciation and love for nearly everything in the universe.
I say nearly because there's things everyone should obviously deem terrible.
A couple times I've felt like my mind was slipping back into a more primitive state. That could have been ego loss/death but it was odd to feel like an animal and not thinking like a human.
it's also been fairly amusing in terms of some of the manifestations and utter mindfuck that is handed down.
psychedelics are useful tools for self-discovery. I credit ayahuasca with helping to kick the booze.

I began to notice the flaws in people and realize how greedy and rude and obnoxious most of the human race is.
And more appreciation for nature and my life

The appreciation for nature is a big one. Before having undergone a certain number of psychedelic experiences I considered nature to be pedestrian and boring, but psychedelics showed me what a rich, exquisitely textured and meaningful tapestry it really is. The ultimate work of art.

Maybe, but the question wasn't "What has changed WITH YOU, since you started using psychedelics?".
So I just put my own spin on it.
Since it's been over 33 years since my first trip, I can't really remember what I was like before.
Well, maybe I was much more nervous around and in front of people. I've always been an introvert, but I used to be really withdrawn, now I'm just shy!

I never noticed the hidden symmetry that is so intrinsic to living things before I ate mushrooms in the forrest.
I still remember staring at the top of a pine-cone seeing a fractal pattern that had escaped my attention till then.

Yeah, I remember a specific point when I realized that the patterns manifested by vegetation are exactly the same as the intense visuals I see on high-dose psychedelic trips except far more complex and concretized... like it's the same thing, but much larger and in extremely slow motion.
You don't need to take drugs to be blown away by God's trips, if you'll pardon the clumsy expression.

Psychedelics put life into perspective for me. They help me to appreciate what this great life is all about and help me prioritize what I want. In addition I find my thoughts more introverted, like having a deeper relationship with myself. While my thoughts are introverted I find that I have deeper relationships with others, especially like-minded individuals. I feel wiser.
I'm also in complete awe of nature. I'm not religious in any way but seeing visuals from psychedelics, especially ones from DMT, really makes me feel a sense of a higher being. Nature is beautiful and seeing it's patterns and the patterns my mind creates makes me feel one with nature. I loved the outdoors before ever trying psychadelics but now it's a spiritual thing when I'm in nature.

I've only done one shroom trip (2g lemon tea) with a friend last month who sees it only as a recreational tool (which is a good way to start). For a week after, I felt relaxed - social anxiety was gone and I was more patient. I have enuf left for another 2g's with my friend and I hope to do a solo 3g's after my next grow. I started a LC on Monday. Got my AA921 from Amazon (that hurt $$$) and I have RR's video.

Psychedelics have made me want to love and be love. Under their influence I've experienced such deep connections to others and myself that truly emphasized love. I also find that I don't necessarily want to get "fucked up" on drugs and alcohol like I used to. I've found that alcohol is pretty evil IMO due to psychs and honestly could care less about drinking anymore. I feel that I think more about my ways and who I am as a person now and I try to improve myself as much as possible. I've found things about myself that I really want to change and with that being said I've found that it can be quite hard to change the way you are sometimes .

I just want to add something to your point about alcohol consumption. I went to street festival over the summer, called Lark Fest. Anyways me and friend went early in the mornin', dropped a tab and half of OK cid and were having a great time with great vibes. There were a lot of other people there tripping, having a blast, enjoying the improvised music from this sick psychedelic band playing out of a Ben and Jerrys. Things had a great vibe until the mid afternoon hit and the whole thing turned in a big, drunk, rowdy mess. All the frat boys came in with their beer bongs, literally doing beer bongs in front of vendors and puking all over. People started getting violent... fights and yelling, and everything just turned evil. I wanted to get out of that scene so fast which was causing my trip to go bad at that point. Everyone turned into disgusting animals. Fuck that.
And shit.. I love drinking beer, wine, whiskey and all that. But being a trashy drunk is nothing to be proud of.

That change really just hit me a few weeks ago. I tripped on some mushies and ended up going to this girls house and when we got there she was already wasted and acting really slutty and trashy, and very unattractive. She ended up getting sick and I had go take care if her while tripping, which is terrible. Then we went to my friends sisters house and there were mountains of beer cans everywhere and the guys there were just stupid drunk and there was more talk of people getting sick. Very unappealing. Later on we made a trip to dennys where someone was out front throwing up of course. I've personally never gotten sick off of a psych, unlike with alcohol, and that night just made me change my perspective on alcohol.

Cool thread! I'd say that psychedelics made me more compassionate towards others, helped cure my OCD tendencies, and in general made me much more open to the possibilities of spiritual experience. Overall they have had very positive effects on my life.
