Flow Hoods now on sale - limited qty.

We've added the TLG Mini Flow hood into our inventory but supplies are limited. I had 7 but after selling a couple of these units to two local pharmacies I'm now down to 5. Btw, I use this exact same flow hood on a daily basis and I can honestly say that I love it. This unit is great for doing transfers, making spore syringes from prints, transfering spores to microscope slide and such but as with all TLG products, any mention of intent to use the hood for illegal purposes and your purchasing privilege will be denied. Also, since I only have 5 left, please e-mail TLG to ensure availability. You can see pics, specs, and price by going to our website http://www.thelittleguy.com and clicking on the "FLOW HOOD" button on the side navigation bar.

Wrong, the guy that was listing them on ebay had factory surplus units that are now gone. None left. Quote:

As I posted on my site. Quote:

Just reversed the fan? Haha you silly goose. I guess you think it's like changing a light bulb? One must first remove the silicone seal around the outside of the unit, drill out all the rivets on the external housing, go into the internal housing and drill out the rivets that attach the fan motor housing to the internal housing, pry the fan motor housing out and then reverse it. Since the fan motor housing is now reversed, there is no way to attach it back to the internal housing so all new housing anchor holes must be drilled between the fan motor housing and the internal housing. Once the anchor holes are drilled they must be riveted back with stainless steel rivets. Once the fan motor and the internal housing is riveted together then you must attach the entire internal unit to the inside of the external housing utilizing more riveting to the bracket. Once that is done, the entire outer housing must be re riveted together and reattached to the HEPA/viewing chamber. Silicone bead must then be re-applied inside and along all cracks. Btw, some band-aids and neosporin will be helpful as you will get some cuts from working with the metal. The end product is a very attractive well functioning piece of equipment that will last for years. Quote:
someone over at the nook said they got 2 of them for 100 buck...
Yes, and he contacted me asking for help on how to convert his. It's not easy. Anyway like I said, I love my flow hood and feel it was definitely worth the effort. For those that really need one, they'll appreciate the effort as well. Quote:
good luck selling them
Thanks, I just sold another so now there are only 4 units left.

could we see a half pint inside of it, or something for size scale?
that would be awesome.
excellent product, I think people should consider the effort it takes to build an effective flow hood.. it's a daunting task at best.

Boxtop is right, I bought a couple on ebay, the last two she had. I got a smokin deal, but BT is not exagerating about the amount of work it takes to convert them.
