So Sunset-mission's music is really good.

So I checked out this shroomery user's music,  Sunset-Mission, and he gave me a link to download some of his songs, so I've been :vaped: and just listening to these really long songs, and I must say they are incredibly intriguing if you have the time to let yourself listen to them. I also wanted to share something they inspired me to write, maybe others can relate:

-----
Understanding the psychedelic experience. Or in other words, creating

a psychedelic world with the active implementation of an exploratory

technique informed by tripping balls.

Connecting art to create an external image of the trip experience,

visual, audio, kinetic,

subliminal. Remember the question. That is a teaching of the

experience. You are living the question. Bring awareness to that to

enter the flow.

Rilke, the mystical German poet, who had an uncanny

understanding of sound among other talents, spoke to this in his

“Letters to a Young Poet” series. He writes these valuable lines,

“Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you

will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the

answer.”

This passage is beautiful because it leaves the question

unanswered.

What was the question? Your life.

-----
-mar

I second this. I listened to the GOD EP the other night, and it was an amazing and powerful song.

It's a rather long song, but if you have the time, definitely give it a listen. You won't be disappointed. I'm practically a n00b when it comes to doing things like meditation, but even if you just close your eyes and try to control your breathing while listening to this song, it can do amazing things.

So far I have only listened to it while stoned, but I plan to listen to it during my next acid trip and see what happens.

:awejeez:

I'm really glad you enjoyed my music, enough to the point of making a thread about it! This year I'm ready to start releasing all the material I've made that's just sitting around on my HD collecting virtual dust and it goes without saying that the Shroomery will be the first to be receiving them. I don't care much for monetary gain so they'll be free downloads, forever, and I don't care if they're spread on blogspots or P2P networks or whatever. I'm not Lars Ulrich

My intended audience is actually the psychedelic community as I know the powerful experiences music can bring upon in psychotropic altered senses, especially when one is meditating in that state. My music is meant to guide ones trip into positive, ineffable places and having experienced that on my own trips many, many times all I want to do now is share those experiences with everyone else.

Again, glad you dig my music dude.

Just re-read your writing and it has definitely got me thinking. Our lives are indeed questions that we seek the answer to, of which will show itself to us in time.
