What's the movie where some guy beats on Richard Pryor's character's car with a baseball bat so Pryor's characters gets a flamethrower out of his trunk and torches the guy's car?

I remember the beginning of Lethal Weapon 4 had a guy with an automatic rifle and a flamethrower

oh, and if you can't find it, it may be the tv version with different scenes mixed in. a lot of movies tended to do this back in the day. Sometimes a dvd will be released special edition, or include the scenes that didn't make the official theatrical cut. Many don't though.
i first noticed this when looking for that scene in aliens 2 where they set up the motion-sensing machine guns... but it was no where to be found on the dvd... not untill the special edition came out and put it back in. I knew i wasn't imaging that scene--but it took years.

My buddy's dad is here right now and he's 50 or so, he advised the film in question is 'Deal of the Century', thanks Dick(that's his name).

that's gregory hines -- also in history of the world part 1.
deal of the century with chevy chase... good film, havent seen it in atleast a decade or two.
