This is a fair request.

This is a copy of the PM that the recipients receive. I have been going through roughly once a day..... With the exception of yesterday when I was banned  ... But sent another round of PM's out today to catch back up.

Thanks to everyone for checking the thread out. I thought it would be a cool idea to recognize certain people who may have been extra helpful .......

This is the pm

The community has chosen you to receive an award recognizing your efforts and skills as both a cultivator and teacher.
On behalf of the Shoomery I would like to thank you for your time and dedication to the field of mycology. If you would like to visit the thread where your work has been honored you may do so -> [HERE]

Thanks LOL! I am not good with curiosity...

There is a thread going around.
I never knew the guy but it seems he has helped many people.

Mr. Mushrooms,

Has passed away in January?

Here is the thread if you have missed it Farewell Mr. Mushrooms
Maybe you could send him the award? I am sure there are people on this thread he has helped.
He was a retired Moderator as well from what I have read.

Sorry for the Hijack.
But can anyone share about how Mr. Mushrooms has helped them in this community?

Moment of silence for Mr. Murshooms .......:mushroom2: R.I.P. :mushroom2:

The retired moderator and long time Shroomery enthusiast, Mr. Mushrooms, has passed away.  MM was a very passionate and yet very private person, and he will be missed dearly by the Shroomery community and no doubt by those close to him.  As respect to his privacy, I think MM would prefer that the details of his passing not become public, however I will say that he died in January, although I am only recently and vaguely informed of his death.

This past summer I was supposed to meet Mr. Mushrooms at a mycological foray, but we did not end up finally crossing paths...  It is much to my regret that I never had the occasion of meeting him, though I know a few Shroomerites were so lucky.

I will miss his oddly and intensely passionate-to the point of obsessive-nature, and his strange sense of humor.  He was always very helpful and encouraging of my mushroom passion, and always amusing to speak with.

Mr. Mushrooms, you were a legendary Shroomerite.  I wish I could have said 'good bye'.  Your presence here will not be forgotten!

I will confess something that should be quite obvious, CC.  I love mushrooms, i.e. fungi.  I really do.  I am talking about a strong feeling, i.e. emotion, for them.  I think they are beautiful.  I even dream of them.

I learn something from someone different everyday. As has already been said this is in general a great community . There are a few that really stick out in my mind. I was a lurker for many months before joining. Reading for hours everyday, learning until the point when I felt confident enough to jump in and have a go at it.

The people I learned the most from then where NoobieShroomie,Truskool,FeelFunny,Whyblameus and of course RR. I'm sure I've missed someone but these stick out the most in my mind.

Yeah I've also wondered. He had said he was moving and would be gone for a few months. Thought he had come back. I know I seen a few posts from him not to awfully long ago. Seems he disappeared again since.

He maybe back some day but he has family issues to deal with,  which take precedence over the shroomery and mushroom cultivation.
But he is a very good cultivator and deserves a vote.

Do you know what the backstory is of that graphic per chance? I'm curious. :crazymonkey:

I've seen it before, and it looks staged. It also looks like that one dude you showed me a pic of, who was like measuring his absurdly hairy 40" waist? :puke:
