Is it healthy to hold grudges?
    #14069566 - 03/05/11 03:33 AM (13 years, 20 hours ago)

A bit of an obvious topic.

Recently opened up to what I thought was a friend at work, he reciprocated in the same way so I thought he was genuine. We are the only people with the same nerdy hobby, so I thought that held us as commonplace with each other.

We all went for drinks after work, and he starts slagging me off to his mates (who also work with) and joking, but changing my name to a different girls name. I knew it was me as some of the things he said were the things I opened up about which also indicates he's been showing people emails and sharing my confidentiality words.

I'm actually pretty hurt that someone lets you get settled, pretends to listen then goes and shows their true colours. He's above me at work, and I'm trying my best to ignore him and cut out the part where I befriended him.

Obviously this wont make him see his errors as he wouldn't care if he already betrayed me. I do nothing but be nice to people, I'm obviously too open. I've just came from years of abuse and just had to wonder if it's healthy, or just accept that he has problems and get on with it?

Sorry for the boring problem :peace:

He sounds like a total jerk. You should move on and forget him.

Yeah, he sounds like a douche. It's not productive to hold grudges, nevermind healthy, break some shit or forget about it...

Not to be taken seriously by any means!

Thanks people, just needed a bit of reassurance. Appriciated. :sun:

Will definitely be a bit more aware of myself from now on, and I managed to break a few sly plates at work today on my hectic shift  :peace:
