Jars dried out, suggestions?
    #14071148 - 03/05/11 02:19 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

Hi all.

I have two quart jars of millet colonized by cubes.  The jars had dried out and had a bit of cobweb on them so I gave them a misting and drained the peroxide out.

Since these jars are dry I'm wondering if it's an option to fill the jars with water as to 'dunk' them, letting them sit over night to rehydrate.  Following that up with a drain and then doing some grain to grain transfers to new jars.

Thoughts?

I wouldnt even waste my time if they had cobweb.
Its only 2 quarts of millet.
Other then that I would just add a feww cc's of water at most.

how did you drain the peroxide out?

did you open the jars?

what were your procedures that may have caused the cobweb in the first place?
